How to make beef brisket stew.
With my easy step by step beef brisket stew recipe, what could be more satisfying than this homemade delicious stew! To save time, you can use a pressure cooker which will only take 40 minutes to cook! Otherwise the dish will be ready in three hours (placed in a pot). Perfect for when your family or friends come over! You can also freeze the stew, to be eaten on another day!
SERVES: 6-8
PREP TIME: 15 minutes
COOK TIME: 40 minutes (in a pressure cooker)
3 hours in a normal pot
INGREDIENTS:
- 2kg briskets
- Olive oil
- 4 onions sliced
- 6 regular sized cloves garlic
- 6 peeled carrots and left whole
- Large handful of prunes (ideally without pips)
- 4tbs of honey
- 4tbs of lemon juice
- 1tbs of Bisto Onion Gravy
- 700ml of chicken stock
- 2-3tbs of red wine
- Cup of water
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
