How To make Bean Soup with Dumplings
3 cups water
1 can (15 1/2 oz) kidney beans
rinsed and drained
1 can (15 oz) black beans :
rinsed and drained
1 can (14 1/2 oz) Mexican-style stewed tomatoes
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
1 package (10 oz) frozen corn thawed
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped carrots
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 garlic cloves :
minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
DUMPLINGS 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon baking powder
Dash salt and pepper 1 egg white -- beaten
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the first 13 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. For dumplings, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and pepper. Combine egg white, milk and oil; stir into dry ingredients. Drop into eight mounds onto boiling soup. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes (do not lift the cover).

1 medium onion
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 bird's eye pepper
4 cloves garlic
6 pimento berries (allspice)
2 lbs of salted pig tails (prepared)
10-12 cups water
4 medium potatoes
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup water (for dumplings)
Optionally you can add stewing beef, yam, sweet potato as well as other ground provisions.

SHOUT OUT TO NATEDOC FOR THE SCRUMPTIOUS RECIPE ????
FOR REAL, THIS WAS A FIRST FOR ME. A VERY GOOD FRIEND ASKED FOR IT AND I PRETTY MUCH SAID, UGH ! WELL I DECIDED TO GIVE IT A WHIRL AND IN ALL ACTUALITY IT WASN'T HALF BAD. I ATE EVERY DUMPLING IN THE POT, LOL. IT IS VERY VERY RICH AND WAS CERTAINLY A PLEASANT SURPRISE AS TO HOW TASTY IT WAS. IF YOU WOULD LIKE THIS RECIPE , YOU MUST ASK YOURSELF WHY !???? JUST KIDDING, OR AM I ?
INGREDIENT;
2- POTATOES PEELED AND CUT INTO BITE SIZE PIECES
2 CANS GREEN BEANS ONE CAN DRAINED, USE REGULAR CUT NOT FRENCH
1 MEDIUM ONION DICED FINE
3 TBS OF SALT
PLACE INGREDIENTS IN POT
ADD ENOUGH WATER TO JUST GO OVER THE INGREDIENTS
THEN BOIL UNTIL POTATOES ARE FORK TENDER
DUMPLING DOUGH:
2 EGGS BEATEN
START WITH TBS OF MILK
1 TSP SALT
1 CUP OF FLOUR
YOU MAY HAVE TO ADD MORE FLOUR OR MILK TO GET THE RIGHT CONSISTENCY
THE DOUGH IS NOT RUNNY BUT VERY STICKY.
ONCE POTATOES ARE DONE DROP DOUGH INTO WATER A LITTLE AT A TIME AND LET THEM COOK FOR ABOUT 5-6 MINUTES WHILE ITS STILL BOILING
THEN ADD 1 QT OF HEAVY CREAM LET SIMMER A GOOD WHILE UNTIL BROTH THICKENS UP.
