HOW TO MAKE AMBROSIA | CLASSIC LOUISIANA RECIPE| QUICK & EASY HOLIDAY RECIPE
Follow along with the Creoljun Contessas as we make this quick and easy classic Louisiana ambrosia. Refreshing with just a hint of tropical flavor.
In the ancient Greek myths, ambrosia is the food of the gods, often depicted as conferring longevity or immortality upon whoever consumed it. It was brought to the gods in Olympus by doves and served at the heavenly feast. We are sure the Mardis Gras Krewe of Ambrosia thinks quite highly of this dish.
Here on earth, ambrosia on the supper table during Christmas is a widely embraced Southern tradition. This is a classic recipe that combines whipped topping, oranges, green grapes, pineapple and coconut. Cajanna loves marshmallows, so we put a few mini's in this years' ambrosia to give it that Good Luvin' From the Oven mojo. Customize your ambrosia, add blueberries or substitute oranges for apples. Be as creative this holiday season as you like. Your family, friends and guests will enjoy this holiday salad… or…dessert. No matter, the important point is that it's delicious! So, give it a try!
