GINGERBREAD HOUSE RECIPE
Ingredients
1 Stick | ½ Cup | 113g Butter
¾ Cup | 250g Golden Syrup, Molasses or Corn Syrup
4 tsp Ground Ginger
4 tsp Cinnamon
1¼ Cups | 250g Brown Sugar
6½ Cups | 810g Flour
1¼ Cups | 310ml Milk
2 Egg Whites
4 Cups | 500g Icing Sugar or Powdered Sugar
Instructions
In a small saucepan add the butter, molasses (or golden syrup or corn syrup), ground ginger, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring until the butter has melted.
In a large mixing bowl measure out the flour. Pour the melted butter mixture into the bowl as well as the milk.
Using a wooden spoon or electric mixer mix until you have a combined dough. Cover the bowl and place into the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight to firm up.
Roll out the gingerbread dough between 2 sheets of nonstick paper until it is 1cm or ½ inch thick. Using the templates cut out the gingerbread house pieces.
Bake the house pieces in a 180C|350F oven for 15-20 minutes or until browned. Leave to cool completely before trying to assemble.
To make the royal icing add the egg whites and icing sugar or powdered sugar to a medium sized bowl. Using a stand mixer or a hand mixer, mix the ingredients together for 5-8 minutes until it is thick and bright white. Cover well to prevent drying out.
Decorate the gingerbread house pieces using a piping bag filled with the royal icing. Leave the pieces to dry for at least 6 hours or overnight before trying to assemble the house.
To assemble the house use a cake board or chopping board. Pipe the edges of the front, back and sides with the royal icing. Stick the pieces together, using a glass or mug for support. Leave the bottom of the house to dry for at least 4 hours before adding the roof.
Pipe the edges of the roof pieces with the icing and place on the top of the house, using glasses or mugs for support until it has dried. Pipe the bottom of the chimney pieces and stick them to the top of the house, followed by the side pieces. Pipe the bottom and side of the door to stick down, leaving it as opened or closed as you want. Leave the house to completely dry overnight.
Decorate the outside of the house using gingerbread men or trees or cinnamon sticks to look like wood. For a snow appearance use any leftover royal icing and spread it over the base outside the house. Once dry dust the whole house with icing sugar or powdered sugar.

GINGERBREAD COOKIES | gingerbread man recipe
Hello everyone! This is my favorite gingerbread recipe. The cookies are soft and very aromatic. Keeps soft for a long time when stored in a closed container.
INGREDIENTS:
150g honey
100g granulated sugar
1tsp ground cinnamon
1tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground cloves (optional)
2 tsp baking soda
130g unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 egg
400-450g flour
COOKING METHOD:
1. Put honey, sugar, and spices in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
2. Remove from heat and add baking soda, stir (the mixture will foam and increase).
3. Add butter gradually and stir. Add egg and stir.
4. Add sifted flour and knead the dough (I took a hand mixer with hook attachments). Form a ball.
5. Roll out the dough 5mm thick between two sheets of parchment or silicone mats. Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes-1 an hour.
6. Cut out the cookies and transfer them to a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
7. Bake at 350F/175C for 10 minutes.

Homemade Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
Soft and chewy Gingerbread Cookies recipe made with a simple gingerbread recipe and decorated however you like! Everyone loves this classic recipe and they taste delicious!
????️ PRINT THE RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
▢3 cups all-purpose flour
▢3/4 cup dark brown sugar , packed
▢3/4 teaspoon baking soda
▢1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
▢1 Tablespoon ground ginger
▢1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
▢1/2 teaspoon salt
▢12 Tablespoons butter , room temperature, cut into 12 pieces
▢3/4 cup molasses (dark molasses)
▢2 Tablespoons milk
For the frosting:
▢2 Tbs butter , room temperature
▢2 cups powdered sugar
▢2 Tablespoons milk
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Add flour, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt to a mixing bowl and mix.
2. Add the butter pieces and use a pastry blender to cut the butter in until the mixture resembles fine meal.
3. With a mixer running on low speed gradually add the molasses and milk and mix until combined, about 30 seconds.
4. Divide the dough in half, forming each into a ball. Wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight, or place in the freezer for about 20 minutes, until firm, if you’re in a hurry.
5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
6. Remove one dough sheet from the fridge/freezer and place on the counter. Roll out the dough (use a little flour on your rolling pin if needed), until it’s about ½ inch thick. Cut gingerbread men and place them on prepared baking sheets.
7. Refrigerate the gingerbread men for 5 minutes (meanwhile you can roll out the other dough ball).
8. Bake the cookies until set in the centers and the dough barely retains and imprint when touched very gently with fingertip, 8 to 11 minutes (depending on the size of your cookie cutter). Do not overbake!!
9. Remove the cookies to a wire rack. Allow to cool to room temperature before frosting.
10. Store gingerbread cookies in an airtight container with parchment paper between the layers. Freeze for up to 3 months.
For the frosting:
1. Add butter, milk, and 1 cup of powdered sugar to a bowl. Mix until smooth. Add additional cup of powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Add frosting to piping bag if desired.
MORE TIPS FOR THIS RECIPE:
Make Ahead Instructions: Make the gingerbread and store it, well covered, in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Roll out and cut into cookies when ready to bake. You can also bake the cookies and freeze them.
