How To make Chinese: Sauce: Looo (Basic Sauce)
1 c Dark soy sauce
1 c Thin soy sauce
1 c Sugar
2 c Water
3 Dried chili peppers 2 sl
- ginger root 2 tb Five whole flowerets, star
- anise 1/2 c Peanut oil
2 Cloves garlic, split
Add all ingredients to saucepan and boil 15 minutes. Refrigerate sauce. Simmer foods in this sauce, as the foods absorb the salty taste, you may need to add more soy sauce to compensate. Do not use fish in this sauce if you want to keep it long. Basic Sauce is used over and over again to slow-simmer a number of foods. It imparts its own flavor to what is cooked, and grows more savory with the cooking of different foods.

Seriously though, this is the best Chinese stir fry sauce recipe - great for a quick & easy dinner!
The 'little black dress' of stir fry sauces - and by that I mean it's a must have! Today I cooked it with shrimp & veggies, but it would go with just about anything. This basic little sauce will make you think you're in a Chinese restaurant... without servers, without waiting for your food, and without paying a check at the end. It's kinda perfect.

Ingredients
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tbsp chili paste of your choice or sable olek
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 – 3 tbsp sugar – its is a sweet sauce!
1 tsp sesame oil
Corn starch slurry – 1 tbsp corn starch – 1 tbsp water mix.
This recipe can be scaled up as many times as you like!
NOTE: Use this sauce with Chinese Scrambled Egg and Tomato -

How to Make Chinese Brown Sauce, Base Sauce, Mother Sauce.
Ingredients: (2.2 cups or 517 mL)
Unsalted Stocks: 1.5 cup or 355 mL (Unsalted Heated Chicken or Veg. Stocks)
Kikkoman Soy Sauce: 3 tbsp or 45 mL
Sugar: 2.5 tbsp or 30 g
Wine: 2 tbsp or 30 mL
LKK Oyster Sauce: 2 tbsp or 30 mL
Koon Chun Hoisin Sauce:1 tbsp or 15 mL
Pearl River Dark Mushroom Flavored Soy Sauce: 1 tbsp or 15 mL
Sesame Oil: 1 tsp or 5 mL
Green Onions Roots: 1 root or 2 tsp (cut)
Ginger: 1-2 tsp (minced)
Garlic: 1-2 tsp (minced)
White Pepper: A sprinkle
Instruction:
Step 1: Combine all the ingredients together and let the sauce cool down (usually about 1 hour to cool). This allow the flavor to come together.
Step 2: Drain and discard the roots after about an hour of cooling. You can prepare this sauce ahead of time.
Step 3: Store the sauce in the fridge or freeze the sauce.
Note: If you do not mix in the stock you can keep the sauce in the fridge for about 1 month.
Step 4: Setup traps and fight off anybody that tried to steal your (this) recipe.

Chinese Garlic Sauce Recipe - Better than takeout!
This Chinese Garlic Sauce is perfect for your stir-fry, dipping, even with veggies over rice or noodles. It's so easy to make at home and better than takeout! NOTE: In the video I said soy sauce, but we use coconut aminos which has less sodium. I just usually refer to it as soy sauce sometimes. You'd want to halve the amount if you use soy sauce instead of the coconut aminos.
WHAT DOES CHINESE GARLIC SAUCE TASTE LIKE?
It is sweet, salty, garlicky, a little bit of heat (or more if you add more crushed red peppers), and just so delicious. If you haven't tried it, we highly recommend you try it asap!
Chinese Garlic Sauce Printable Recipe:
Ingredients you'll need:
6 cloves garlic fresh, minced
1 tablespoon ginger fresh, minced
3/4 cup water
2/3 cups coconut aminos if using soy sauce, use to taste as it's saltier than coconut aminos
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/8 cup cane sugar or coconut sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Pinch red pepper flakes use more if you like it spicy
