Lemon Sesame Chicken - with yoyomax12
I have made this lemon-sesame chicken a couple of times and it is a family favourite.

Lemon-sesame chicken recipe:
4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
1 egg
4 tbsp lemon juice (divided)
1/2 cup bisquick baking mix
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup chicken broth
3 tbsp sugar
2 tsp corn starch
1 tsp grated lemon peel
chopped green onions (optional for garnish)
Lemon wedges (to squeeze over chicken when serving, optional)
Pound chicken breasts between sheets of plastic wrap or in a zip lock bag.
In a pie plate or shallow dish combine the egg and 2 tbsp of lemon juice, set aside.
In another pie plate combine the bisquick, paprika and sesame seeds, set aside.
Dip the chicken breasts into the egg mixture and then into the dry mixture.
Heat the oil in a skillet and fry the the chicken pieces until they are cooked OR fry until brown on both sides and finish baking in the oven until a safe internal temperature is reached. You can also skip the frying pan altogether by just baking the pieces. I like the colour and crispness of the chicken when it is fried first though.
Sauce:
I double the recipe when I make this because I like lots of sauce:
Combine broth, sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice, corn starch and lemon peel in a small saucepan. Heat on medium/high until sauce boils and thickens.
Serve over chicken, sprinkle with green onions and additional lemon juice if desired.

Ingredients:
-Chicken (Cut in thin strips) 500 gms
-Maida (All-purpose flour) 2 tbs
-Corn flour 2 tbs
-Anda (Egg) 1
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp
-Soy sauce 1 tbs
-Lal mirch kuti huee (Red chili flakes) 1 tsp
-Oil for frying
-Oil 1 tbs
-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 1 tbs
-Lal mirch (Red chilies) chopped 3-4
-Hara pyaz (Green onion) White root 1 tbs
-Soy sauce 1 tbs
-Chili sauce 1 tbs
-Tomato paste 2 tbs
-Pani (Water) ¼ cup
-Shahad (Honey) 2 & ½ tbs
-Namak (Salt) 1-2 pinch
-Lemon juice 1 tbs
-Till (Sesame seeds) Toasted
-Hara pyaz (Green onion) Stalk 1-2 tbs
Directions:
-In bowl,add chicken thin strips,all-purpose flour,corn flour,egg,salt,soy sauce and red chili flakes, mix well.
-In wok,add oil and chicken strips,fry until golden and crispy,set aside.
-In wok,add oil,garlic,red chilies and green onion white root, sauté until light brown.
-Add soy sauce,chili sauce,tomato paste and water,mix well.
-Add honey,salt and lemon juice,mix.
-Add fried chicken and mix well.
-Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onion stalk.
-Crispy honey chili chicken is ready.

Makes 5 Containers (Meal Prep Containers) -
Ingredients -
2 1/2 Tbsp (50ml) - Olive Oil, Divided
2 - Large Heads Broccoli, Florets & Stems Trimmed
250g (8.82oz) - Green Beans, Top & Tailed
1kg (2.2lbs) - Chicken Thigh, Boneless & Skinless, diced
1/2 Cup (125m) - Chicken Stock
3 - Garlic Cloves, Minced
2 - Lemons, Juiced
1/3 Cup (80g) - Honey
1 tsp (2.5g) - Onion Powder
1 1/2 Tbsp (30ml) - Soy Sauce
2 tsp (10ml) - Sesame Oil
1 1/2 Tbsp (12g) - Corn Flour
Seasoning To Taste
Basmati Rice -
350g (12.35oz) - Basmati Rice, Washed
700ml (700g) - Cold Water
Salt To Taste

Sesame Chicken | Honey Sesame Chicken | How to Make Sesame Chicken | Chinese Sesame Chicken | How to Cook Sesame Chicken | Sesame Chicken Stir Fry | Crispy Sesame Chicken
Ingredients for Sesame Chicken:
- Boneless Chicken thighs, cut into 1” pieces- 350 gms
For the Marination:
- Salt- 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Grated Garlic- 1 tsp (2-3 cloves)
- Whisked Egg- 1
Sauce:
(Tbsp- tablespoon, tsp- teaspoon)
- Tomato Ketchup- 2 tbsp (US spoon measure)
- Dark Soy Sauce- 1 tbsp
- Honey- 1.5 tbsp
- White Sugar- 2 tbsp
- White Vinegar- 2 tsp
- Water- 2 tbsp
Other Ingredients:
- Corn Flour- 3 tbsp measure
- Corn Slurry- 1 tsp corn flour mixed in 4 tbsp water
- Sesame Oil- 2 tsp
- White Sesame Seeds- 2 tsp
- Spring Onion Greens- 3 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation:
- Cut the boneless chicken thighs into 1” pieces. Marinate with items specified. Mix well and set aside for 30 mins. After 30 mins add the corn flour and mix well to make it ready for frying.
- Take a small bowl and add all the ingredients specified for the sauce. Mix and set aside for use later. Make sure the sugar is dissolved before adding it to the wok later.
Process:
- Heat oil in a pan/wok for deep frying.
- Drop in the battered chicken pieces one at a time to not crowd the pan. Fry on medium heat for around 5-6 mins till golden. Remove and keep on a plate. Fry the rest in batches.
- Now take a wok and heat it.
- Mix the sauce once to make sure the sugar is dissolved and add it to the wok.
- Keep stirring it on medium heat for 1-2 mins till the sauce is cooked and starts thickening.
- Add the corn slurry, mix and cook it for a minute and then add the fried chicken pieces.
- Mix it well and then add the sesame oil. Stir fry it on high heat for another minute till the chicken pieces are coated well with the sauce.
- Once nearly thickened, add the sesame seeds, give a mix and then add the chopped spring onion greens. Stir fry for a minute and serve hot.
