How To make General Tso's Chicken Iv
2 Whole chicken breasts
2 Hot peppers (or more)
- crushed 1/2 c Cornstarch
1 Orange rind; minced
1 tb Ginger; minced
1/3 c Fried peanuts, chopped
BATTER:
1 Egg
1/4 c Beer
2 tb Soy sauce
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 c Flour
1/4 c Cornstarch
1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ds Pepper
SEASONING SAUCE:
6 tb Sugar
3 tb Cider vinegar
5 tb Soy sauce
1 ts Cornstarch
1.-4. Skin and bone the chicken. Cut into 1-1/2" x 2" strips. Mix batter.
Add chicken, tossing lightly to coat. Cover and chill for 1/2 hour. Mix seasoning sauce. 4. Coat each piece of chicken well with cornstarch. Arrange chicken on well-floured wax paper. 5. Heat 2-3" of oil in a pan until very hot. Fry chicken for 30 seconds. Drain well on a cookie sheet covered with paper towels. 6. Reheat oil over high heat until very hot. Refry chicken until crispy and golden brown. Drain again and keep hot in oven. 7. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in wok over medium heat. Fry orange rind until golden brown. Add chili and ginger, stir-frying 20 seconds. Mix in seasoning sauce and heat to boil, stirring constantly until foam subsides and the sauce thickens slightly and turns to glaze (about 2 minutes or more). Add fried chicken, tossing to coat well. Chilli Chicken recipe:
Chilli chicken is a sweet, spicy appetizer made with chicken, bell peppers, garlic, ginger, tomato chili sauce, and soya sauce. This crisp fried saucy chili chicken is easy to learn and goes well with fried rice varieties
Preparation and Process
Ingredients:
1. Chicken - 75O gms
2. Eggs - 1 Nos
3. Red Chili Powder - 2 Tbsp
4. Oil for Frying - 250 ml
5. Oil for the recipe - 50 ml
6. Onions - 2 Nos
7. Rock Salt as required
8. Spring Onions as required
9. Green Pepper - 1 Nos
10. Corn Flour - 3 Tbsp
11. Ginger - 1 inch
12. Garlic - 6 Cloves
13. Tomato Sauce - 2 Tbsp
14. Hot Chili Sauce - 1 Tbsp
15. Green Chili Sauce - 1 Tbsp
16. Soya Sauce - 2 Tbsp
17. Vinegar - 1 Tsp
18. Green Chili - 3 Nos
19. Black Pepper - 1 Tbsp
Method:
For Marinating
i. Add 2 Tbsp Red chili powder, 2 Tbsp cornflour, 1 Tbsp soya sauce, and 1 Tsp salt to the chicken cubes
ii. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes
Preparation
i. For frying chicken
ii. Add 250 ml oil to the heated pot and fry the chicken cubes till it turns tender and soft
For Chilli Chicken recipe
i. Heat 50 ml oil in a flat pan
ii. Add chopped Ginger and Garlic and sauté for few minutes
iii. Add onion cubes and Green peppers cubes, Sauté for few seconds
iv. Add 2 Tbsp Tomato sauce,1 Tbsp tomato chili sauce,1 Tbsp Soya sauce mix well
v. Add 1 Tbsp Green chili sauce and required salt and mix well
vi. Add 2 cornflour to little water and prepare the cornflour slurry
vii. Add the cornflour slurry to the mixture
viii. Add hot chili sauce 1 Tbsp and mix well and cook for 2 minutes
ix. Add the fried chicken cubes and gently mix
x. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame
xi. Garnish with slit green chilies and chopped spring onions
The yummy and delicious Chili chicken is ready to be served.
