How To make Salatet Malfoof (Cabbage Salad)
Ingredients
1/2
teaspoon
garlic, finely chopped
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/4
cup
lemon juice, fresh
1/4
cup
olive oil
2
cup
white cabbage, shredded
2
tablespoon
mint, finely cut
1/4
cup
pomegranate seeds, optional
Directions:
In a small bowl, mash the garlic and salt to a smooth paste with a pestle or the back of a spoon. Add the lemon juice. Then, with a whisk or large spoon, beat in the olive oil, 1 tablespoon at a time. Continue beating until the mixture is smooth.
Place the cabbage in a salad bowl, and pour the garlic dressing over it. Toss lightly with a spoon until the cabbage is evenly coated. Sprinkle the top with mint and with pomegranate seeds (if used) and serve at once.

Malfouf Salad (Lebanese Cabbage Salad)
This video is about how to make Malfouf Salad (Lebanese Cabbage Salad or in Arabic Salatet Malfouf)
In this video, I didn't include olive oil (as I am avoiding oil atm) and forgot to add the dried mint!
You'll love it because it's;
• This easy to make side salad pairs with so many foods
• Adjustable - all the ingredients can be adjusted to suit your taste.
• Dietary friendly - WFPB no oil (if made as shown) and is naturally gluten-free, soy-free, corn-free and nut-free
Tips -
•A small - medium sized cabbage has been used. As sizes do vary, you may need to adjust the amounts of the other ingredients slightly.
Cabbage can be shredded or finely sliced
• Maceration helps the flavors to infuse into each other
