Today we are going to cook Murg Mussalam and make a Simple, Tasty & Healthy Chicken Mussalam Curry recipe
Tips:
Marinate the chicken for 3 hours at least. This will nourish the chicken with the spices
When cooking start with little oil, chicken secrets oil and will top up
You can also stuff with Vegetables, Biryani, dry coconut, etc
Interesting Facts:
This was the most favorite dish of Delhi Sultanates & Tughluq as well
Chickens are one of the oldest species and are related to Dinosaurs
If the white of an egg is cloudy, it means the egg is really fresh
INGREDIENTS
Full Chicken (De-skinned & Internals removed) - 1 nos
Ginger&Garlic Paste - 6 Spoons
Curd (Yogurt) - 1 Small Box
Chilli Powder - 1 Spoon
Red chilli Powder (Tikka Lal Coarse) - 1 Spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1 Spoon
Salt - 1 Spoon
Coriander seeds - 3 Spoons
Pepper corn - 2 Spoons
Cumin seeds - 1 Spoon
Fennel seeds - 1 Spoon
Cinnamon leaves - 2 nos
Cardamom - 6 nos
Eggs - 2 nos (Boiled)
Cashew nuts - 15 nos
Almonds - 15 nos
Onions (big) - 1 nos (long chopped)
Cooking Oil - As needed
Process:
Clean the Chicken
Slit the chicken with deep cuts for marination
Take a big bowl
Add 5 Spoons of Curd
Add 2 Spoons of Ginger & Garlic paste
Add Chilli, Turmeric, Red Chilli powders & Salt
Mix the ingredients well to paste consistency
Start spreading the paste evenly over the entire Chicken
Leave it aside to marinate for 2 hours
Heat Pan
Add Coriander seeds and fry well
Add Pepper dorn, Cinnamon, Cloves, Green Cardamom, Cumin Seeds
Fry until Aroma and keep aside
Heat Pan and add 3 spoons of Oil
Add Almonds & Cashew Nuts
Fry until golden brown
Add chopped Onions
Fry until golden brown
Add it to the fried Cashew & Almonds
Take the Chicken out and stuff some Almonds & Cashew Nuts
For extra flavor (Rice lovers can add some Biryani as well)
Stuff 2 boiled and cleaned eggs

Tie the legs
Heat pan and add 6 spoons of Oil
Place the Chicken
Keep Sprinkling Red Chilli powder for enhanced taste (as needed)
Flip chicken on all sides for even frying
Once oil bubbling settles,
5 minutes once flip the chicken on all sides for even frying
Cover with lid
Let it cook for 20 minutes (Low FLAME)
Take the Chicken in a bowl
Cut the tied Knot
Place the cooked chicken on a Serving plate
Add the remaining Marination paste to the pan
Add rest of the Curd
Mix well and let it boil for few minutes
Fried Coriander seeds, Pepper dorn, Cinnamon, Cloves, Green Cardamom, Cumin Seeds, Onions, Almonds & Cashew Nuts Grind into a thick Curry paste (not shown here)
Add the Curry paste & Stock and mix well
Let it boil for 5 minutes
Add water as needed
Mix well to thick Consistency
Mussalam Dressing Curry is ready
Spread the Mussalam Curry evenly for even dressing
HOT Murg Mussalam is ready to SERVE !!
