How To make Yeast Patties
2 cups starter
OR 1 package active dry yeast 5 cups warm water
5 tablespoons shortening
5 tablespoons sugar
:
OR honey, molasses or syrup 1 tablespoon salt
4 cups rye flour
--dark or light 1/4 teaspoon ginger
some cornmeal
In a warm crock, mix the first six ingredients to a thin batter. Cover and let rise overnight in a warm place.
The next morning, reserve one cup for future starter, or for current bread-baki ng. For the yeast patties, stir into the overnight mixture 1/4 t. ginger, enoug h cornmeal to make a stiff doug, and stir well. Pat into small, round pattiies (cookie-style), place on a sheet to dry and turn them every day.

INGREDIENTS:
Flour/Maida - 1 & 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Curd/ Yogurt - 6 tbsp
1 cup = 250ml
Since its Yeast less bun this bun will not soft spongy & fluffy. For soft & spongy bun you have to use yeast

Recipe:
1 cup + 2TBS warm water
1/3 cup Avocado oil
2 TBS Yeast
1/4 Cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 Egg
3 1/2 Cups bread flour
Combine water, oil, yeast, and sugar, rest for 10 mins
Mix in salt, egg, flour
Knead until cohesive and soft
Form into 12 balls, place on greased pan
Rest 10 mins
Bake 400 F 10-15 mins

Yeast Bread WITHOUT an Oven – Cooks in 10 Minutes - The Hillbilly Kitchen Easy yeast bread without an oven, cooks in minutes and makes delicious rolls or buns for any occasion.
There are no special ingredients or equipment needed. Just a few minutes in a skillet on the stove and you can have fresh hot bread for sandwiches or to serve with dinner any time of the day without heating the house up with the oven.
In the days before we all lived air conditioned houses, we didn’t turn the oven on in the middle of the day during Summer. Skillet baked bread saved us from starvation. We ate everything from peanut butter and jelly to hamburgers on it. This is a really good all-purpose bread. You can add spices or herbs to change the flavor of this basic recipe. The texture and flavor are just like oven baked yeast bread. Even though you still have the rise time you have with regular oven bread, it cooks much faster in a skillet. You do have to watch it closely but the tradeoff in cook time and the rise in house temperature is well worth the effort. Because it is cooked fast and the crust is heated by the skillet’s surface, the bread has a slightly crisp outside and a slightly chewy texture inside. It is moist, soft and tender.
This recipe and cooking technique are both as old as the hills. Any recipe that has survived as long as this bread, is good enough to hang onto and eat often.
