How To Use A Tortilla Press
The easiest way to make near perfect tortillas is using an old fashioned tortilla press. More video at Just roll out the mixed dough, place between two pieces of wax paper and press into shape.

So you get all of it nice and incorporated. Once that is done, we're going to roll these into nice little balls and then set them onto a tortilla press.
So now that the dough is all incorporated in a nice, sort of Play-doh texture, which again, is great for kids, you want to cut this dough into about 16 pieces. So we're going to cut each of those into about four.
You want to cover them up with a wet paper towel so that they don't get too dry. Use a paper towel or a tea towel, something with a little bit of water on it, not too wet. Then we take one of the pieces of dough and just roll it into a nice little ball.
Set that in there, squish it down, nice and gentle. There we go. If you don't have a tortilla press, you can make these just by patting them with your hands. They'll be a little bit thicker, and they won't be quite as-- they'll be a little bit more like a pattie then they will be a tortilla. But they're still going to be yummy.
All right, so after it's been on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side or so, you've got yourself a nice, hot, fresh tortilla. It's ready for salsa, pozole, whatever you like. It's nice. It's fresh. It's hot. And it really tastes like corn. It's great.
