How To make Whole Wheat Honey Cookies
1/2 c Brown sugar
Packed 1/2 c Butter or margarine
Softened 1/2 c Honey
1/2 ts Vanilla
1 Egg
2 c Whole wheat flour
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking soda
Heat oven to 375F. Mix brown sugar, margarine, honey, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonsful about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes or until light brown around edges. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire racks. -----

Ingredients
75 grams butter ( roughly 3/8 cup butter)
30 ml or 2 tbsp honey -
50 grams or 3/8 cup powdered brown sugar( replace with white powdered sugar if brown sugar is not available)
70 grams or 1/2 cup whole wheat flour or aata
22 grams or 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
58 grams or 1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2tsp baking soda
Method :
In a large bowl , add whole wheat flour /aata, coconut , sugar mix well. Add in oats, mix and keep aside.
In a pan, take butter and honey and cook on a low flame while stirring continuously. When the butter if fully melted, switch of flame and add baking soda and mix nicely.
Pour this hot butter mix straight into the bowl of dry ingredients. Add milk if dough looks dry. Mix everything together .
When mixture is warm ( not hot not cool) to touch , start making small balls of the prepared dough.
Place on a oven tray and press the balls gently. Bake in a preheated oven for 20 to 25 min at 170 degree.
Let these sit on a baking tray for 2 minutes once baked. Transfer on a wire rack for cooling . Enjoy or store in a air tight container.
