1/2 c Oil
1 c Buttermilk
1/2 c Brown sugar
1/2 c Molasses
1 1/3 c Whole wheat flour
1 c Flour
3/4 c Oat bran flakes
2 ts Baking powder
1 t Baking soda
2 ts Cinnamon
1 c Dates
chopped
1 c Walnuts :
chopped
Beat together first 5 ingredients until blended. Mix together the remaining ingredients and add all at once. Beat until blended. Do not overbeat. Divide batter between 5 greased mini-loaf pans (6x3x2-inches) and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes, or until a cake tester, inserted in
center, comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes, and then remove from pans and continue cooling on a rack. Yields: 5 mini-loaves. Note: Oat bran can be purchased in most supermarkets or health food stores. It comes as "milled" or "stone-ground". The milled is finer in texture and the stone-ground will produce a slightly coarser crumb, which adds a little character to this country-style loaf. I’m sure most of us were a bit naughty over the holidays, so now is the time to try something healthier. Whole wheat flour contains the bran of the wheat berry and that is the most nutritious part of it.
Natural sweetness of golden raisins replaces sugar or other sweeteners. And the walnuts are a great flavour and texture addition with their own nutritional benefits. Toast it or eat it as it is. It will make the best peanut butter & jam sandwiches!

How To Make Oat Bread | Quaker®
Making bread can be easy! Try Quick Oat Bread and top with your favorite sandwich ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup + 2 tablespoons Quaker® oats, divided
1 ⅓ cups whole‐wheat flour
1 cup all‐purpose flour
2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 ¼ teaspoons salt
8 ounces Greek yogurt
1 large egg
¼ cup canola oil
¼ cup honey
¾ cup low‐fat milk
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a 9‐by‐5‐inch (or similar size) loaf pan with cooking spray. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon oats in the pan. Coat the sides and bottom with oats. Thoroughly stir together whole‐wheat flour, all‐purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Using a fork, beat the remaining 1 cup oats, yogurt, egg, oil and honey in a medium bowl until well blended. Stir in milk. Gently stir the yogurt mixture into the flour mixture just until thoroughly incorporated but not overmixed. Immediately scrape the batter into the pan, spreading evenly to the edges. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon oats over the top. Bake the loaf until well browned on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Let stand in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Run a table knife around and under the loaf to loosen it and turn it out onto the rack. Let cool until barely warm, about 45 minutes.

Ingredients:
1 cup (90g) Rolled oats
3 cups (375g) All-purpose/Bread flour
1/4 cup (80g) Maple syrup
1 1/3 cups (320ml) Boiling water
1¼ teaspoons Instant dry yeast
1½ teaspoons Salt
2 tablespoons (30g) Melted butter
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, or in the bowl of an electric mixer combine boiling water, oats, maple syrup, butter and salt. Mix and let cool slightly.
2. Add flour, yeast and stir until dough forms. Knead the dough for 7-8 minutes.
3. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover and let rise 1 hour, until doubled.
4. Gently deflate the dough, shape it into a log. Place the log in a lightly greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Cover the pan, let rise for about 1 hour or it's crowned about 1-inch over the rim of the pan.
5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
6. Brush with water and sprinkle some rolled oats on top of the loaf. Bake for 40-45 minutes. If the bread appears to be browning too quickly, cover with aluminum foil for the rest of baking.
7. Let cool completely before cutting.
