How To make White Sour Milk Cake
2 c Sifted all-purpose flour
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Shortening
1 c White sugar
2 Eggs (beaten well)
1/2 ts Vanilla
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Sour cream
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cream shortening and sugar, and well beaten eggs and vanilla and mix well. Dissolve baking soda in mixture alternately with sifted dry ingredients. Bake in greased 8 inch layer cake pans 20 to 25 minutes at 350F. Source: Heritage Recipes ch.

Beat until foamy consistency
Oil 1/4 cup
All purpose flour 1 cup
Baking powder 1 tsp
Add gradually
Keep aside
Milk 1/2 cup
Butter 1 tbsp
Bring it to a boil
Turn off the flame
Vanilla 1 tsp
Mix well
Add hot milk into cake batter
Mix slowly
7 inch greased pan
Bake in preheated oven at 180c for 30-40 mins
NOTE: 1 CUP = 250 ML

Sour Milk Cake
Got sour milk? There's not much worse than pouring yourself a bowl of cereal only to find the the milk has started to turn. Well maybe there is... finding out the milk is starting to turn after eating a bit of the cereal and realizing you still have over half a gallon of milk left. What a waste!! As you've probably figured out if you've been following the blog or can surmise from the name, we don't like waste here. Good news is that you don't have to throw out sour milk. If it's got chunks- it's too late and cut your losses, but until that point there are loads of great ways to use up sour milk. Here is one of our favorites. The best part? No one will know you used sour milk unless you tell them!

Ingredients and cooking:
2 liters of milk
Heat until hot
100 ml of apple cider vinegar
Stir constantly
The whey has separated
30 gr of melted butter
1/2 tsp of salt
1 egg
1 tsp of soda
Cook until the cheese is melted
Leave in the cold for 2 hours
Smear croutons
Delicate cheese for a breakfast sandwich is ready!

HOW GOOD IS WHITE LILY FLOUR FOR CAKES?/OLD SCHOOL SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE/FRI NIGHT CAKE OF THE WEEK
OLD SCHOOL SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE(WHITE LILY FLOUR)
3 cups white lily all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 sticks butter room temperature
3 cups granulated sugar
6 eggs large room temperature
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp pound cake extract
1 tsp lemon extract
1 cup sour cream (8oz)( room temperature)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F. Butter and flour a large bundt pan or coat with baking spray. Combine the flour, and baking powder in a large bowl, whisk together and set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla then eggs one at a time while mixing on medium speed, scraping the bowl down twice or so. Add the flour mixture and sour cream in alternating batches, mixing on low until just combined.
Use your spatula to finish the batter off, scraping the bowl down and mixing any errant sour cream or flour in. Transfer the batter to your prepared bundt pan and bake at 325 for about 80 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean from the center.
Cool in in pan 10 minutes before inverting
