For my money, the Daiquiri Cocktail is THE BEST way to drink Rum. But the brilliant thing is, Daiquiri's are easy rum cocktails to make at home.
The Daiquiri Ingredients are very simply, Rum, Lime and Sugar. But it doesn't matter what rum you use, or even what flavour Sugar of even if you add a Purée. And this is what this Video is all about! The Classic Daiquiri will always be a lightly aged Rum, maybe a 3yo, maybe a white Rum like Havana 3yo, but there's no reason why you can't use different Rums, such as Black Tears Rum, or Damoiseau Rum from Guadeloupe!
The Easy Daiquiri Recipe is always following this ration 4:2:1
4 Parts Rum
2 Parts Lime
1 Part Sugar
From there you can adjust to taste. either adding more or less Sugar!

Wacky Daiquiri - Canistel! (Egg Fruit)
We discovered a new tropical fruit called Canistel or Egg fruit! and turned it into a daiquiri.
This weeks Wacky Daiquiri: CANISTEL or EGG FRUIT !!
So our sources say Canistel is a kind of yellow Sapote fruit which is native to South and Central America, buuut this one came from Thailand. ????????
It’s known as “egg fruit” because the texture is almost exactly like hard boiled egg yolk. ????
The smell is like putting your head in a raw pumpkin where as the taste is like marzipan meets creamy sweet potato ???? !!
Such a unique and delicious fruit but the daiquiri did NOT do this one justice.
Would love to try using it in a blended tropical cocktail sometime because dang this stuff is good. ????
