FILM DESCRIPTION:
Looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, Tripp (Lucas Till), a high school senior, builds a monster truck from bits and pieces of scrapped cars. After an accident at a nearby oil-drilling site displaces a strange and subterranean creature with a taste and a talent for speed, Tripp may have just found the key to getting out of town with a most unlikely friend.

HOW TO MAKE Chocolate Turtle Cake Episode 40

Sometimes we just need a piece of cake! This one here is guilt free, with no refined sugars. Great to bake for birthdays, for any special occasion, or just because you want a delicious dessert!

Full recipe:
Cake:
1 cup almond flour
2 cups oat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup cocoa powder
1 ½ cup dates
1 ½ teaspoon vanilla powder
3 cups unsweetened plant based milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 round cake pans with parchment paper.

Place almond flour, oat flour, baking soda, baking powder and cocoa into a large bowl and mix.

Blend dates, vanilla powder and milk into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into bowl with dry ingredients and stir. Pour into baking pans. Bake for 25 minutes.

Vanilla Cream
1 cup cashews
½ cup dates
1 teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup water

Place all vanilla cream ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and keep in the refrigerator until cakes have cooled.

Caramel Sauce
1 cup dates
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup water

Place caramel sauce ingredients and blend until smooth.

When cakes are done baking, let them cool completely. When cooled, take one out of the pan and place it on a plate. Pour vanilla cream onto the cake and spread it to the edges. Place the second cake on top of the vanilla cream layer. Pour the caramel sauce over the top, letting it ooze over the sides. Enjoy!!
