HOW TO MAKE A PERFECT TART CRUST FROM SCRATCH | WATCH THIS BEFORE YOU BAKE THEM // Step-by-step tutorial on how to make the perfect tart crust for your sweet pastries.
Have you ever had issues with the tart crust but haven’t figured out why??
You are not alone! Everybody faces these issues at some point. That is why I made this tutorial, explaining the most common problems most people face and giving my tips to solve them so that you can bake a perfect crust next time.
I’ll share the favorite sweet pastry crust recipe you can use for all kinds of pastries, including all the tips and tricks I know to make it look so clean and perfect, just like you see on social media ;)

????INGREDIENTS FOR THE TART CRUST:
• All-purpose flour: 350g (12.3 oz)
• Almond flour: 50g (1.8 oz)
• Powdered sugar: 150g (5.3 oz)
• Salt: a few pinch
• Unsalted butter: 180g (6.3 oz)
• Egg: 70g (2.5 oz)
BAKE AT 350F / 175 C for 10-20 mins, depending on the size, until they are golden brown.
(For commercial ovens, bake at about 325F / 162C)

Tangy Lemon Cookies|| Quickest Cookie Recipe
These Tangy Lemon Cookies are the quickest and most effortless cookie recipe. They’re made from scratch and are bursting with tart lemony flavor from both lemon zest and real lemon juice!
Ingredients:
1 egg
4 tablespoons Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
5 tablespoons Olive oil
Lemon Zest of one lemon
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 cup Flour
Bake: 375 F for 15 min
Tips:
Double the recipe to make a bigger batch. 1 batch makes 12-15 cookies
Set the dough into the fridge for 15-20 min
Will make the cookies rise more

1/2 cup lemon juice
2.5 tbsps cornstarch
1&1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
few drops yellow gel colour or pinch of turmeric - OPTIONAL
For crust :-
150 grams Digestive biscuit
1/4 cup melted butter

Do you like lemon curd? I've tried a few different recipes, then formulated my own just to my liking! Yum! This recipe tutorial will show you how I make my favorite lemon curd cake filling.

LEMON CURD CAKE FILLING
Zest of 4 Lemons
3/4 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Tbls warm water
1 pack unflavored gelatin (I use Knox)
1 cup unsalted butter-softened
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
7 egg yolk
3 whole eggs
1/4 tsp salt

Tangy Lemon Tart
Ingredients
Margarine 50 g
Plain flour 100 g
Caster sugar 25 g
Cold water to mix approximately 30 ml
Lemon 1
medium Eggs 2 medium
Caster sugar 100 g
Double cream 50 ml
Icing sugar for dusting
Oven: 200°C or gas mark 6 — for baking blind
Oven: 160°C or gas mark 3 — for filling Temperatures may vary if using a fan-assisted oven.
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/gas mark 6.
2. Place the margarine and the plain flour in a bowl, then rub in until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
3. Stir through the caster sugar then make a well in the centre of the mixture.
4. Gradually add enough cold water to bring the mixture together.
5. Chill for at least 10 minutes.
6. Roll out the pastry and line a 15 cm flan ring, prick over the surface lightly and rest for 10 minutes.
7. Bake blind for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned, then reduce the oven temperature.
8. Grate the zest then juice the lemon.
9. Whisk together the eggs, the caster sugar, the lemon zest, the lemon juice and the double cream.
10. Pour the lemon mixture into the pastry case, taking care not to over fill, and return it to the oven for 20-25 minutes, until firm to the touch.
11. Allow to cool completely in the flan ring then dust with icing sugar.
12. Carefully remove from the flan ring.
13. Serve cool on a clean plate at room temperature, decorated appropriately to show 4 portions.

Step 1
Ingredients :
— 9” inch tart tin
—200gm plain flour
—40gm icing sugar
— pinch of salt
—100gm cold chopped unsalted butter
—2 egg yolk
— A spalsh of cold water
** pre heated oven 175 C
Second option
Optional chocolate base
Ingredients
—200gm plain flour
—40gm icing sugar
—80 gm coco powder
— pinch of salt
—100gm cold chopped unsalted butter
—2 egg yolk
— A spalsh of cold water
Step 2 :
Ingredients :
— 6 whole eggs
— 2 egg yolks
—140 gm caster sugar
— 150 gm double cream
—2 lemon zest
— 120 ml lemon juice
**pre heated ovan and set on 150 C
Method to follow:
STEP 1
To make the pastry, mix the flour and icing sugar in a bowl.
Rub the butter into the flour with your fingers until crumbly.
Mix in the egg yolks.
If the pastry is still too dry, add 1-2 tbsp water until it comes together.
Roll into a ball and divide in half (freeze one half for another recipe).
Flatten out the pastry with your hands, wrap the dough in cling film, then chill for at least 30 mins. While the pastry is chilling, make the filling.
Beat all the ingredients, except for the zest, together. Sieve the mixture, then stir in the zest.
STEP 2
Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface to about the thickness of a 1 inch coin, then lift into a 9” inch tart tin.
Press down gently on the bottom and sides, then trim off any excess pastry.
Stab a few holes in the bottom with a fork and put back in the fridge for 30 mins.
