How To make Springtime Pudding Cake
2 9" layers of sponge cake, us
-ng your favorite reci 2 3 oz boxes vanilla pudding
1 3 oz box chocolate pudding
1 ts Almond flavoring
1/2 c Pineapple; crushed, drained
1/2 c Pecans; chopped
1/2 c Maraschino cherries; choppe
- 3 Drops red food coloring
2 c Whipping cream, whipped
Slice each cake layer in half to make 4 layers. Make puddings according to package directions, reducing milk by 1/2 cup for each package. Mix half vanilla pudding with almond flavoring, cherries and red food coloring. Mix half vanilla pudding with crushed pineapple. Mix chocolate pudding with nuts. Whip cream with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. To assemble: Place cake layer on serving dish, cover top with cherry custard, place cake layer over this and spread with pineapple custard, place layer over this and spread with chocolate custard. Top with remaining cake layer. Cover top and sides with whipped cream. Chill overnight.

Easy Funfetti Easter Trifle ????
This is soooo easy but super delicious, and it would be so cute for an Easter brunch!
I used the prettiest @funfetti Spring cake mix and made it according to the package. Let it cool and then cut it into cubes.
Then I layered it with this combo:
3 1/2 c milk
2 pkg vanilla instant pudding
1- 8oz container whipped topping
1 c crushed shortbread cookies or golden Oreos
*you don’t have to mix the cookies in if you’d rather them be chopped coarsest for a different texture
Then I added crushed chocolate eggs and used more on top. The marshmallows are from @tjmaxx and grass is from @sprinklepop.shop ????

Few things frustrate me more than domed cake layers with burnt edges. I make cakes QUITE often so you can imagine I like things to go smoothly especially since I’m usually filming and sharing the results. When I first started out my cakes had a very “home made” look about them, the corners were rounded and they often sagged at the edge or even drifted off to one side. The taste was good but appearances matter so I would have to trim the top off of my domed layers to get a flat top but then you end up with extra cake and lots of crumbs! Eventually I realized the problem wasn’t with the recipe but the bake itself.
When you bake cake layers the outside heats up and baked more quickly than the center, which is insulated by the rest of the batter surrounding it. So basically the outside of the cake layer bakes first; the inside of the cake layer has more time to rise and by the time the inside is set and baked through the outside is starting to dry out and burn. This is why you see so many cakes with dark edges which are not pillowy soft.

Hiiiiiiii!!! I wanted some cake so badly and the strawberries were hitting on me at the grocery store soooooooo. #FreshStrawberries in a sweet strawberry glaze and #InstantVanillaPudding mixed with #CoolWhip and fresh #lemonzest make this cake uniquely delicious. My grandmother would make this cake as soon as strawberry season hit, and now my Mom, and now me I guess. It hits the palate like a strawberry shortcake and satisfies the cake craving all in one slice. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!

Better Boxed Cake
Ingredients:
1 box of Yellow or White Cake Mix
1 additional Egg
Melted butter
Milk
Optional, but recommended: Lasagna pan or any tall-sided baking pan
Directions:
1. Cook cake according to the directions, but add an additional egg, match the measurement of the oil with melted butter, replace the water with milk.
Strawberry Glaze and Vanilla Pudding Whip Topping
Ingredients:
1 5.1oz box of Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
1 Cup of Milk
1 Tub of Cool Whip
Zest of 1 Lemon
2lbs of Fresh Strawberries
Strawberry Glaze, I used store bought glaze this time.
Directions:
1. Whisk pudding mix with milk and zest. Refrigerate to set.
2. Once set, whisk in the Cool Whip.
3. Keep refrigerated if not using right away.
4. Slice strawberries and stir with glaze.
When cake is cool, spread pudding whip on top of cake, then top with glazed strawberries.
