How To make Spiced Pound Cake
MARTHA WHITE'S SOUTHERN SAMP:
1 1/2 c Butter or margarine
-softened (3 sticks) 4 c Sifted confectioners' sugar
-(about 1 pound) 6 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 ts Almond extract
3 1/2 c Martha White All-Purpose
-Flour, sifted 1/4 ts Mace or nutmeg
1/4 ts Salt
2/3 c Milk
Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan or 12-cup bundt pan. Cream butter and sugar together in mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla and almond extracts. Sift flour, mace, or nutmeg and salt together; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted one inch from edge comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; turn out onto wire rack and cool completely. -----

????Pumpkin Pound Cake Recipe:
CAKE:
-1 1/2 cups, room temp salted Butter
-1 Cup granulated Sugar
-2 cups packed brown sugar
-5 Eggs, room temperature
3 cups (390g) all purpose flour
-1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
-2 tsp Cinnamon
-1/4 tsp salt
-1 1/4 cups Pumpkin Puree
-2 tsp vanilla extract
MAPLE CINNAMON GLAZE:
-1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
-1 tsp Cinnamon
-1/8 tsp Salt
-4 Tbsp Melted Butter
-1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
-1 tsp Maple Extract (or you can use vanilla extract)
-1 tsp or so of milk if needed
***To a stand mixer, add room temperature butter and both sugars. Mix and cream together until light and fluffy. This will take about 5 minutes. Next add salt, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, vanilla extract and pumpkin puree. Mix until well combined. Scrape the bowl down to make sure everything gets mixed in well. Then, with mixer running, add eggs in, one at a time. Making sure to mix well after each addition. Scrape down bowl. Lastly, with the mixer on LOW speed, slowly add in all purpose flour, and mix until just combined. Pour into greased bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 75-85 minutes.
Allow cake to cool before adding glaze. To make the glaze, whisk ingredients until smooth and creamy. Add milk if you'd like a thinner consistency. Pour on top of cake. Then ENJOY!
