Ingredients
▢1¼ cups applesauce
▢5 tablespoons butter melted and cooled
▢1 tablespoon neutral oil
▢¼ cup room temperature buttermilk
▢2 beaten eggs
▢1 teaspoon vanilla
▢2 cups flour
▢½ teaspoon cinnamon
▢½ cup granulated sugar
▢¼ cup brown sugar
▢¾ teaspoon baking soda
▢½ teaspoon salt
For The Topping (optional):
▢3 tablespoons butter melted and cooled
▢¼ cup granulated sugar
▢2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C and grease a 1 lb loaf pan.
Combine the applesauce, melted butter, oil, buttermilk, beaten eggs, and vanilla in a bowl. Mix well.
Whisk together the flour, cinnamon, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt in a larger bowl.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix them until combined.
Spoon the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 to 55 minutes.
Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before turning onto a cooling rack.
Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl to make the topping.
Brush the top of the loaf with melted butter, and sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top.

Recipe:

3 Tbsp. milk
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
¼ tsp. ground allspice
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, oil, eggs, and milk; beat well. Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt; stir until smooth. Fold in the pecans. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
