How To make Snickerdoodles/Heritage
2 c Sugar
1 c Butter; softened
2 Eggs
1/4 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla
3 3/4 c All-purpose flour
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Cream of tartar
1 c Chopped nuts
In mixing bowl cream sugar and butter till light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Blend in milk and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt; stir into creamed mixture. Blend in chopped nuts. Form dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Lightly flatten balls with sugared bottom of tumbler. Bake at 375 till done, 10 to 12 minutes. -----
