How To make Shredded Wheat Cookies
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup honey
2 teaspoons grated orange peel (orange part only)
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel (yellow part only)
2 cups old-fashioned or quick-cooking oatmeal -- uncooked
2 cups crushed shredded wheat biscuits
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Mix flour with soda, baking powder and salt; set aside. Beat shortening until light and fluffy; add sugars gradually, creaming well. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla, honey and grated orange and lemon peels, then cereals, fruits and nuts; mix well. Work in flour mixture until well-blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, or until done.
Makes about 8 dozen small cookies

Classic Shredded Wheat Easter Nest Recipes
Hop on over Easter bunnies and whip up a batch of these Classic Easter Nests made with crispy Shredded Wheat® Original and delicious milk chocolate. Simple to make, these easy chocolate nests are a great Easter treat to share with friends and family.
Ingredients:
7 Shredded Wheat Original biscuits (160g), crushed
150 grams Milk Chocolate
150 grams Dark Chocolate
75 grams Unsalted Butter
100 grams Golden Syrup
40 Chocolate Mini Eggs
Method:
1. 2min
Crush your Shredded Wheat into a large bowl and leave to one side.
2. 5min
Add your butter, golden syrup and chocolate to a pan, and heat gently whilst stirring occasionally until everything has melted.
3. 2min
Pour the mix over the Shredded Wheat and stir until fully combined!
4. 5min
Using spoons, or a cookie/ice cream scoop - scoop onto a lined tray or into cupcake cases. Top with two chocolate mini eggs and pop into the fridge until fully set.

INGREDIENTS
4 tablespoons orange or apple juice
25 g blanched hazelnuts and almonds
2 Shredded Wheat Original biscuit (45g), crumbled
20 g jumbo porridge oats
150 g dried apricots
75 g raisins
3 tablespoons sunflower seeds
PREPARATION
1. 5min
Add the Shredded Wheat and oats to a large pan and toast over a medium-low heat. Once golden and crisp, tip into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
2. 2min
Add the nuts and sunflower seeds to the same pan and toast over a medium-low heat for 2 minutes. Once golden, add to the bowl Shredded Wheat and oats.
3. 5min
Add the toasted mix to a food processor and pulse to chop coarsely – you may need to do this in two batches. Once chopped, add back into the mixing bowl.
4. 4min
Put the apricots, raisins and juice into a food processor and blend to a smooth puree. Pour over the dry mix and stir until well completely combined.
5. 60min
Spread the mix onto the lined baking tray - about 1.5cm thick – and chill for an hour until firm. When ready to serve, cut into 8 bars.
6. 1min
These tasty bars will keep in the fridge for up to three days in an airtight container.

Ingredients:
3 Shredded Wheat Bundles ( OR you could use oat groats
2 + 1/4 Cups Rolled Oats
2 Cups Unsweetened Plant Milk
1 Ripe Banana
7 Small dates pitted
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder Unsweetened
Directions:
Mix together shredded wheat and oats in a big bowl together well.
Blend the rest of the ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth and pour over dry mixture.
Mix together until well combined.
Make the shape of the bundles and freeze for 2-3 hours.
Move bundles to refrigerator and enjoy when soft to touch.
