Santa Claus is coming to town! Made with a soft sugar cookie dough, and decorated with a fluffy sweet whipped cream cheese buttercream. By far the cutest cookies to ever go on a Christmas cookie platter, and so delicious! RECIPE DOWN BELOW:

INGREDIENTS:
For Santa Cookies:
-1 cup butter, room temp. (2 sticks)
-1/2 cup white sugar
-1 large egg
-3 tsp. vanilla extract
-2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
-1/2 tsp. salt
-3 tsp. red food gel
-mini chocolate chips (for eyes and buttons)
-mini red m & m’s (for the nose)
For Frosting:
-1/2 cup softened butter
-2 oz. cream cheese softened
-1 tsp. vanilla extract
-1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Making gingerbread house cookies for Santa is a fun holiday activity that the whole family can enjoy. Here is a recipe for gingerbread house cookies that you can try:
Ingredients:
* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
* 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
* 1 cup packed brown sugar
* 1 large egg
* 1/2 cup molasses
Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and molasses.
3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
4. Divide the dough in half and wrap each half in plastic wrap. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one half of the dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out the shapes for your gingerbread house, such as a roof, walls, windows, and doors. Place the cut-out cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Repeat with the remaining dough.
8. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until they are slightly firm to the touch.
9. Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet before assembling the gingerbread house. Use royal icing to glue the pieces together and decorate the house with candies and other edible decorations.

Ingredients
2 Cups Flour
1/3 Cup Sugar
1 Cup (Packed) Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Sticks Unsalted Butter Sticks (Room Temperature)
¼ Tsp Salt
1 Tbls Vanilla
2 Egg Yolks
Santa Claus Cookies
These Santa cookies are easy to make and fun to decorate.
1 1/4 cups butter
1/2 white granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 -1 1/2 tsp salt (less salt if you use salted butter)
3 cups flour
Cream together the butter and the sugar, beat in egg and vanilla.
Stir in flour in two-three additions.
Bring dough together into a ball and refrigerate for 30 minutes or so. Roll out dough to 1/4 thickness.
Cut out triangles.
Bake 8-10 minutes until edges are light brown.
Cool and decorate as desired.
