Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats! | Super EASY Recipe
If you like rice krispies treats AND peanut butter, then this recipe is definitely something you want to try! I used Skippy's creamy peanut butter and regular chocolate chips and melting candies for the chocolate layer. I would have used only melting candies, but I ran out and needed more chocolate because WHO wants a thin layer of chocolate?? haha! I hope you give this recipe a try!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1 10oz bag mini marshmallows (about 5 cups)
1/2 cup peanut butter
6 cups rice krispy cereal
8 oz chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 cups)
2 tsp vegetable oil to thin out chocolate
9x13 inch baking dish
Directions:
Melt the butter over low-medium heat. Once the butter has mostly melted, add in the marshmallows. Once the marshmallows start to melt, add in the peanut butter. After everything is nice and melted, turn off the heat and add in the rice krispy cereal. Give everything a good mix.
Lightly spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Drop in your cereal mixture and evenly spread it out in the dish.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 20 seconds or so. If the chocolate is too thick, add in 2 tsp of vegetable oil to thin it out. Pour the chocolate onto the cereal and spread it out evenly coating the top. Let the chocolate set for 2 hrs before cutting into.
Store in an air tight container at room temp.

Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats!! PB Crispy Bar Recipe
Learn how to make soft and sweet peanut butter rice krispie treats!! Topped with milk chocolate, these are not your ordinary rice krispie treat recipe. Including tips on how to keep them soft and sticky. Enjoy!
Recipe:
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp water
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
6 cups rice krispies (a.k.a 'crisp rice cereal')
2 cups milk chocolate chips (or chocolate of your choice)
Line an 8 x 8 baking dish (for thick treats) or a 9 x 13 (for thin treats) with foil. Grease foil with vegetable oil, butter or shortening. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine corn syrup, sugar and water. Stir constantly until the mixture JUST bubbles around the edges of the pan. Remove from heat immediately and stir in peanut butter, vanilla and salt.
Pour over cereal in a large bowl and fold gently to coat the cereal.
Transfer mixture to prepared baking pan and let cool.
While mixture is cooling, melt chocolate in a bowl over barely simmering water while stirring constantly until half way melted. Remove from heat and continue stirring until chocolate is smooth. (alternatively melt chocolate in microwave by nuking in 30 second intervals, stirring between each just until chocolate is melted. Continue stirring until smooth).
Pour melted chocolate over treats and spread out to a uniform layer. Let cool and cut into pieces. Makes 16-24 treats. Enjoy!

Caramel Marshmallow Rice Krispie Balls
Caramel candy, or caramels, and sometimes called toffee (though this also refers to other types of candy), is a soft, dense, chewy candy made by boiling a mixture of milk or cream, sugar(s), glucose, butter, and vanilla (or vanilla flavouring). The sugar and glucose are heated separately to reach 130 °C (270 °F); the cream and butter are then added which cools the mixture. The mixture is then stirred and reheated until it reaches 120 °C (250 °F). Upon completion of cooking, vanilla or any additional flavourings and salt are added. Adding the vanilla or flavourings earlier would result in them burning off at high temperatures. Adding salt earlier in the process would result in inverting the sugars as they cooked.
Alternatively, all ingredients may be cooked together. In this procedure, the mixture is not heated above the firm ball stage (120 °C [250 °F]), so that caramelization of the milk occurs. This temperature is not high enough to caramelize sugar and this type of candy is often called milk caramel or cream caramel.
