£1 Pasta Series: Tomato and Onion Spaghetti - Cheap and Delicious Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
Serves 2
1 clove garlic
1 red onion
1 red chilli
Olive oil
1 tin plum tomatoes
Fresh basil leaves
Salt
200g spaghetti
1 ladle reserved pasta water
Parmigiano
Method
Step 1
Pop a large pot of water on your hob to boil. Meanwhile, peel and dice your garlic and onion, then finely slice your chill
Step 2
Grab another pan, add your garlic, onion and chilli and drizzle with oil before popping it on the hob
Step 3
Add the tin of tomatoes and some fresh basil
Step 4
By now your pot of water should be boiling, add some salt and your pasta to the pot and cook as per the packet instructions
Step 5
When your pasta is nearly ready, remove it from the water and add it to the pan with your sauce, along with a ladle of the pasta water and mix well to ensure all your pasta gets coated in the sauce
Step 6
Plate up your pasta, you can then add as much grated parmesan ontop as you like and a little drizzle of olive oil too before tucking right in

400g chicken
2 tablespoon yoghurt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Cajun
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoon salt
Sauce
3 tablespoon olive oil
4 garlic cloves finely chopped
3 green chillies
1 Thai red chilli
500g passata Italian
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup double cream
1/2 cup pasta water
Fresh parsley to garnish
Parmesan to garnish

Ingredients:
------ Boiling Pasta ------
- Water as required
- Salt 1 tsp
- Olive Oil 1 tbsp
- Penne Rigate Pasta 500gm
------ Cooking Pasta ------
- Olive Oil 2 tbsp
- Minced Garlic 2 tbsp
- Chopped Onion 1/4 cup
- Tomato Paste 1/2 cup
- Black Pepper 1/2 tsp
- Oregano 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
- Chilli Flakes 2 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Sugar 1 tsp (optional)
- Heavy Cream / Whipping Cream / Double Cream 1.5 cups (ALTERNATIVELY, on a separate pan, combine 3/4 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of melted butter for every cup of heavy cream, so that the pasta will be tasty and creamy!)
- Grated Mozzarella/Cheddar Cheese
- Butter 2 tbsp

a RARE PASTA SAUCE I ate weekly when I lived in ITALY
This spicy, creamy, red bell pepper pasta sauce is a rare pasta sauce that I’ve only found in a jar in a supermarket in Italy, today I set out to recreate this nostalgic sauce. I believe this is a variation of pesto alla calabrese.

this is from Marcella hazans cookbook the essentials of classic Italian cooking I got it as a gift from my uncle about 20 years ago and this dish is always by go to because its so simple quick and delicious
ps i did call them noodles once but I do know better and am just bad with words.
Ingredients.
1 pound pasta
Salt
1/3c extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp garlic
Chili pepper to taste
2 tablespoons parsley
