Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Makes: 12 servings
✨INGREDIENTS
Pigs in a Blanket
6 hot dogs
1 egg
1 sheet puff pastry
2 tsp sesame seeds
Honey Mustard Sauce
⅓ cup mayo
¼ cup dijon
3 tbsp honey
✨INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut each hot dog into 6 pieces, about 1-inch long, for 36 pieces total.
Lightly flour your work surface. Roll out puff pastry to a rectangle about 12-inches by 10-inches.
With the longe edge towards you, cut the puff pastry vertically into 12 long strips. Then cut the strips horizontally into 3 sections, resulting in 36 strips.
Beat 1 egg with 1 tablespoon water.
Brush one end of a strip of puff pastry with the egg wash.
Starting at the end of the strip that does not have egg wash, roll up one hot dog piece in the puff pastry and place on the parchment-lined baking sheet seam side down.
Repeat with all strips of puff pastry and hot dog pieces.
Evenly brush all pigs in a blanket with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake until the puff pastry is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
While the pigs in a blanket bake, make the sauce.
Mix together all sauce ingredients and chill until ready to serve.
Serve warm with sauce!

How to make the BEST Pigs in Blankets | Christmas Dinner
Every Christmas dinner needs pigs in blankets and lots of them!
I like to use little cocktail sausages so they’re not so huge that they take over the turkey, but I make plenty of them, so everyone can go back for seconds, thirds, and there are enough for an epic addition to leftover turkey butties later.
Free printable recipe on our site:
Ingredients:
• 15 rashers/strips of smoked streaky bacon
• 30 cocktail sausages
• 2 tbsp honey
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.
2. Take a rasher of bacon and stretch it out a little, then slice it in half widthways.
3. Take a cocktail sausage and wrap one of the pieces of bacon you’ve just sliced in half around it.
4. Place the wrapped sausage on a baking tray, seam-side down.
5. Repeat with the remaining sausages and bacon.
6. Place in the oven for 25 minutes, until the sausage is cooked and the bacon is crisp.
7. Drizzle over the honey and place back in the oven for a further 5 minutes.
8. Remove from the oven, leave to cool for a minute (the honey will be very hot), then carefully transfer to a serving plate and serve.

The Greatest Pigs In A Blanket Recipe Ever (Sausage Kolaches)

This is the only pigs in a blanket style recipe that you will ever need. One of the best kept secrets in Texas is the Czech influenced and humble kolache properly addressed as Klobásník. It's essentially a sausage that has been wrapped in an incredibly soft and buttery kolach dough (slighly similar to a pain au lait). An undefeated combo.
