Mushroom Pasta
This is a mushroom pasta that's nice and juicy, in no way dry and dull even though it's not lavished with a cream based or tomato sauce. This pasta is buttery and garlicky, and it's 6 ingredient magic at its best.
Plus my little trick to make extra buttery mushrooms using LESS butter!

Creamy Mushroom Sauce Recipe
Today I'm making my easy creamy garlic mushroom sauce. This cream of mushroom sauce recipe is one of my top mushroom recipes as it's very versatile and pairs beautifully with so many dishes. In this video I made creamy mushroom pasta but you can add it to almost anything you like. This sauce can also be made in a large batch and stored to use in different ways during the week!

*INGREDIENTS*
1/2 lb / 200g mushrooms
6-7 (1 tbsp) garlic
1 medium white/yellow onion (1 small purple onion)
1 tbsp butter
1 cup chicken stock/vegetable
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1 tbsp dried oregano
bunch of parsley
salt and pepper
• No stock?
You can use stock cubes dissolved in 1 cup of water. Or use plain water but the flavor will be slightly mellowed
• No oregano/parsley?
You can use Italian herb mix, basil or rosemary also pair well with mushrooms
• No heavy cream?
Substitute with evaporated milk/half and half/fresh cream. The duration of cooking and texture will need to be altered
• No parmesan cheese?
Any cheese that will melt smoothly without causing stringiness can be used. Alter the quantity as needed
Tips:
• Mushrooms need to be cooked until it's browned to release maximum flavor
• Be weary of salt if used store-bought stock. To be safe use low sodium stock or alter the measurements depending on your stock
• In case it ends up too salty, add sugar to balance the saltiness

Ingredients
Penne Pasta - 1 Bowl
Mushroom - 400 Gms
Butter
Olive Oil - 1 Tbsp
Finely Chopped Garlic
Onion - 1 No. Finely Chopped
Maida / All Purpose Flour - 2 Tbsp
Boiled Milk - 2 Cups
Cheese Slice - 2 Nos
Salt
Pepper - 1 Tsp
Italian Seasoning - 2 Tsp
Method:
1. For cooking the pasta shells, take water in a pot and boil. Add salt and Pasta.
2. Cook for 15 mins and strain the pasta. Keep it aside.
3. Take butter and oil in a wide pan. Add garlic and onions. Saute for about a minute.
4. Add the washed, cleaned and sliced mushrooms and saute for about 2 mins.
5. Then add salt, pepper powder, Italian seasoning and mix well.
6. Keep the flame on a high and cook the mushrooms for 5 mins.
7. Add maida and mix well. Cook for a minute and add boiled and cooled milk.
8. Once the mixture slightly thickens, add the cheese slices and mix well.
9. After the sauce is ready, drop in the cooked Pasta shells and mix well.
10. Turn off the stove and transfer the Mushroom pasta to a serving plate.
11. Garnish with Basil leaves and grated cheese.
12. Yummy and appetizing mushroom pasta is ready to be served hot along with some bread of your choice.

5 Ounces Cherry Tomatoes- cut in half

Gobble | Penne Alfredo with Mushrooms | White Sauce Pasta
Penne Alfredo with Mushrooms / White Sauce Pasta - a creamy and delicious Italian lunch!

Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
½ cup onion, finely chopped
6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
7-8 thyme sprigs
8-10 mushrooms, cut in quarters
2 cups cream
150 g penne pasta
4 cups water
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
½ cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 slices garlic bread
½ tsp parsley, finely chopped
Method:
- Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a saucepan. Add 1 tbsp of butter. When the butter is bubbling, add the onion and saute until translucent, about 2 minutes.
- Now, add the garlic and fresh thyme sprigs. Saute for another 2 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and a pinch of salt, and saute. The mushrooms will release a lot of water, so cook the mixture until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Then, add the cream and bring the sauce to a boil. Now let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- While the sauce is cooking, bring a pot of heavily salted water to a boil, and add the penne. Cook until al dente (about 8 - 10 minutes).
- Drain the pasta and return it to a pot. Drizzle olive oil over the pasta to keep it from sticking to one another. Set aside until ready to mix into the sauce.
- Add salt, black pepper, chili flakes, dried Italian seasoning and parsley, and mix well.
- Then stir in the parmesan cheese and mix until fully incorporated.
- Add the pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve with garlic bread, and garnish with finely chopped parsley.

How to make mushroom pasta called taglioline ai funghi | Pasta Grannies
Tree climbing 81 year old Ada shares her recipe for a mushroom pasta dish called taglioline con i pioppini. These little mushrooms are commonly found growing on poplar trees; their scientific name is Agrocybe aegerita.
If you cannot find them, use whatever is available: button, shiitake, hen of the woods, chanterelles (lucky you!) and so on.
For the sauce, Ada used:
1/2 onion, one garlic clove, around 500g mushrooms, a small glass of white wine, a mushroom stock cube (optional), butter, a little cream mixed with powdered dried porcini. To serve: chopped parsley and grated Parmigiano.
For the pasta: 1 egg for every 100g 00 flour. Incidentally 'taglioline' is the local way of saying 'tagliolini' - thin tagliatelle.
