In this installment of PJ Cooks Sexy Food we are making my version of an Italian American favorite we are making Rigatoni alla Vodka a delicious pasta dish made with prosciutto, butter, olive oil, onion, garlic, vodka, crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, basil, oregano, red pepper flake and parmesan cheese. No one really knows exactly where alla Vodka originated but everyone has thier own version, today we are making my version which is enough to make dinner tonight and still have enough sauce leftover to freeze for another meal.
The secret ingredient in all my recipes is love.

Here at Russo’s, we take pride in our authentic Italian recipes based on Russo Family Recipes. This Penne alla Vodka Sauce is far-and-above an example of the quality of our food. We invite you to join us for a delicious bowl of al dente pasta, sautéed onions & prosciutto, all tossed in a creamy sauce with a splash of vodka. The fresh basil garnish puts this dish over the top!
While picking up a jar of pre-made pasta sauce is a-OK in my book, I find it's often easier (and a whole lot cheaper!) to whip up a quick pasta sauce at home instead. If you have pasta water, cheese and butter, you have everything you need for a delicious, cheesy sauce. Use this recipe as a base and add whatever ingredients you have on hand to make the dish your own — frozen peas, pancetta, leftover veggies, you name it!
