Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
Easy, creamy, no-bake peanut butter bars!
RECIPE:
With just a handful of simple ingredients that you already probably have on hand, these peanut butter bars take only a matter of minutes to make and are a classic combination of peanut butter and chocolate!
Ingredients
2 cups creamy peanut butter (475g)
10 Tablespoons salted butter softened (140g)
2 Tablespoons brown sugar tightly packed (25g)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
3 1/4 cups powdered sugar (405g)
4 ounces semisweet chocolate, broken into small pieces (or 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips) (115g)
1 teaspoon shortening
Instructions
00:00 Introduction
Prepare a 9x9 baking pan by lining with aluminum foil. Set aside.
00:19 Using an electric mixer, beat together peanut butter, and butter until smooth and creamy.
00:45 Add brown sugar and vanilla extract, stir well.
01:31 Gradually add powdered sugar, stirring until completely combined.
02:11 Spread peanut butter filling into prepared pan. To make the surface smooth and even, I like to first spread with the a spoon or spatula, and then lay a piece of wax paper over the filling and use my hands to smooth it out (see video for visual).
02:45 Place pan in refrigerator while you prepare your chocolate topping.
02:50 To prepare chocolate topping, combine chocolate pieces or chocolate chips and shortening in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 20 seconds, stir well, and continue to heat on 15-second increments (stirring well between) until chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
03:38 Remove bars from refrigerator and spread chocolate evenly over the surface.
04:02 Return to refrigerator and chill at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
04:12 Cut and serve. Keep uneaten bars refrigerated for firmness.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars Recipe Demonstration - Joyofbaking.com
Recipe here: Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars. I just love the combination of dark chocolate and peanut butter in this three layer bar. The top layer is a smooth and shiny Chocolate Ganache covered with crunchy bits of peanuts. Next comes a no bake Peanut Butter Filling that's deliciously soft and fluffy with a creamy smooth texture. The bottom layer is a sweet and grainy Graham Cracker Crust that contrasts so nicely with the creaminess of the top two layers. My favorite way to eat these bars is cold from the fridge but they are also good at room temperature .

Hey guys and welcome to the best homemade protein bar recipe ever.
Homemade protein bars using protein powder, with or without vitafiber, etc. etc. are becoming increasingly popular here on YouTube and that completely makes sense, normal protein bars are way too expensive, but you can't argue with the convenience and taste of a good protein bar.
My last protein bar recipe was great - chocolate m&m or can be customised to whatever you like really.... And you've probably seen Greg Doucette & Remington James making protein bars.... But this takes it a step further.
This bar is a double layer protein bar WITH a marbled chocolate glaze over the top (not to mention low calorie, low fat, high fiber, high protein and high volume!).
A lot of these homemade protein bars feel like you're eating exactly that, a homemade version of a protein bar... But this one feels like the real thing.
A layer of deep chocolate followed by a layer of pure peanut butter, topped off with real milk chocolate literally creates that Reese's peanut butter cup flavour with every bite, but this time you're getting a LOW CALORIE protein bar with 18g of protein and only 4 grams of fat.
This protein bar recipe tastes amazing BUT IT IS ALSO CHEAP! Way less expensive than what you get in shops - each bar will come out at under 70p to make!
If you like Reese's and you like building muscle then you absolutely have to try this recipe out.
If you do give them a try make sure to let me know how it goes in the comment section below and I'll get right back to you.
