3 tbsps reduced fat peanut butter 3 tbsps strawberry jam 1 lb Frozen Bread Dough -- thawed Prepare two baking sheets with cooking spray; set aside. In a small bowl, combine peanut butter and jam; set aside. Divide dough into sixteen equal pieces. It takes two pieces of dough to make one spider. To make spider, take one piece of dough, on a lightly floured surface, divide this piece into four equal pieces for spider's legs. Roll each of these pieces into thin ropes, each being eight inches long. Lay each of these ropes, parallel and equal in length to each other, half inch apart onto prepared baking sheet. For the spider's body, divide a second piece of dough, one twice as large as the other. On a floured surface, pat larger piece of dough with the palm of your hand to flatten. Place two teaspoons peanut butter and jam mixture onto center of circle. Bring ends of dough up together and seal seams. Gently roll this piece of dough into a ball; set aside. Roll smaller piece of dough in a round ball (this will be the spider's head). Place peanut butter filled body and head centered on top of the four ropes of dough. The spider should now have eight legs. FInish with remaining pieces of dough to make eight spiders. Let rise until doubled in size, one hour. Bake in a 375 degree oven for ten minutes, or until golden brown.

Peanut Butter Spider Cookies
1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened 1 egg 1 1/2 cups Flour 3/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Extra granulated sugar for rolling balls
To make the spider 72chocolate whopper balls 72 candy eyes Melting chocolate
Start off by mixing butter, sugars, peanut butter, and egg until combined. Then add in flour, baking soda, and baking powder until combined.
Dough should be easy to roll and not sticky.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls, then into sugar. Place each ball on cookie sheet at least two inches apart.
Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes on 375F
Immediately after cookies are finished baking, take a tbsp and press down in the middle of cookie.
After about two minutes remove cookies from cookie sheet and let cool completely.
Making the spider: Melt chocolate in a small bowl to glue whopper balls onto cookies. Dip balls into chocolate and stick on cookie to make a spider like in video.
To glue eyes onto head of spider, take something sharp like a tip of a toothpick and put some chocolate on eyeballs to stick onto spider head.
To make legs of spider, melt more chocolate and stick chocolate into a piping bag or use a ziplock bag and cut a teeny tiny hole. Using piping bag or ziplock bag, draw legs on cookie like in the video.
Repeat until finished with all cookies!
Note: I recommend gluing spiders body on all cookies first, then eyeballs, and save the legs for last. This way the chocolate holds onto the cookies better.
Enjoy!
