Ingredients Needed...
1 1/4 cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2-4 tablespoons Water
1/3 cup Fat Shortening or Butter

Never Fail Pie Crust! Makes 8 single crusts
I struggled for years to master making my own pie crusts...until I found this recipe. It rolls out beautifully and freezes perfectly. Finally! Easy, delicious pies as easy as pulling it out of the freezer, filling and baking.
Ingredients:
5 cups ap flour
2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp brown sugar
(mix together)
I pound shortening or lard
1 egg
2 tbsp white vinegar
cold water to make 1 cup
1. Mix first four ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Cut in shortening or lard until mixture looks crumbly.
3. Mix three liquid ingredients, add to flour mixture.
4. Cut dough into eight equal parts.
5. Roll each out on floured surface. Shape, store in fridge for one week or freeze.

1/3 cup butter crisco, or regular crisco
1/2 tsp salt
7-8 tabs water

Homemade Soft and Flaky Pie Crust Recipe
~INGREDIENTS~
-1- 1/4 c. All Purpose Flour
-1 t. Granulated Sugar
-1/4 t. Salt
-1/4 c. Shortening
-4 T. Cold Butter cut
-3 T. Ice Water
~DIRECTIONS~
-In a mixing bowl sift all of your dry ingredients.
-Add shortening and butter and cut together with a Pastry Blender until it becomes the consistency of course crumbs.
-Add the ice water and mix until pie dough becomes a ball.
-Sprinkle with flour and shape into a disc.
-Refrigerate for 1 hour and your ready to roll!

How To Make And Roll Lard Pie Pastry - Pie Dough Recipe - Pie Crust Recipe - Glen & Friends CookingThis is the quintessential Canadian Pie Crust! The pie crust I grew up with, made from Pure Leaf Lard. This is a no fail pie crust for sweet or savoury pie crusts.
Ingredients:
225g Tenderflake pure leaf lard
1 large egg
15 mL (1 Tbsp) white vinegar
Cold water
750 mL (3 cups) pastry flour
15 mL (1 Tbsp) sugar
5 mL (1 tsp) coarse salt
Method:
Cut up lard and put in the freezer.
In a measuring cup, whisk together the egg and the vinegar.
Add enough cold water to make 125 mL (½ cup), and stir.
Add half the flour, sugar, and salt to a food processor and pulse to combine.
Add the frozen lard and pulse to create what looks like peas coated in flour.
Add the remaining flour and pulse a few more times.
While pulsing, slowly drizzle in the cold liquid.
Only add enough liquid for the dough to start coming together.
You most likely won’t need all fo the liquid.
Dump the crumbly dough out onto the counter, and carefully bring together with your hands.
Divide in two, pat each half into a disk.
Wrap and refrigerate at least one hour.
Makes two 9 ½” Deep dish pie shells
