Painted 'Porcelain' Sugar Cookies
These 'porcelain' or 'painted' sugar cookies are almost too pretty to eat! Make them for a party or shower, or prepare them as fancy gifts for your friends.
To make, ice any cut-out cookies (sugar cookies, gingerbread) with a batch of stiff royal icing (icing sugar + egg whites). Leave the iced cookies to dry for at least 24 hours. To prepare the 'paint', mix one part gel food colouring with one part vodka. Stir well and let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes. Using a food-only paint brush, paint on designs. Let cookies dry for about five minutes. Eat and enjoy!
These cookies are easy to make and super fun to paint!

How to Dip Cookies with Royal Icing- How to Ice Sugar Cookies Easy
In this video, I'll show you how to dip sugar cookies in royal icing to create a smooth decorating surface. When you're decorating a lot of cookies, and just need a base layer of icing, or if you're new to cookie decorating and aren't yet comfortable with piping and flooding, this technique is perfect for you! By mixing royal icing to slightly thinner than flood consistency, you can simply dip the surface of the cookie into the icing to ice the cookies without the need for tipless piping bags. I use my scribe tool to work out the air bubbles in the royal icing before allowing the decorated cookies to dry. This creates a perfectly smooth cookie decorating surface. You'll see near the end of the video, I also show you how I paint on the surface of the cookie using lemon extract and gel food coloring with a few piped royal icing details to add some texture. This technique is perfect for beginner bakers and pro cookie business owners alike! I hope you like the video! Thank you for watching!

How to paint gold on cookies!
Hi again, hope you enjoy this video showing you how to use different techniques to paint gold on cookies. Whenever my cookies need that something extra to make them perfect, I add a little gold.
For the best results you want to make sure you are using alcohol with the highest percentage you can find. I am using Everclear which is 90% alcohol. You want it to be on the thicker side when you mix it so it gives you nice coverage. The alcohol evaporates quickly so you don´t need to worry about children eating the cookies. You can also use lemon extract, just note it will give you a lemony taste on your cookies.
Happy painting!
