Decorating cookies is always super fun and thanks to my easy sugar cookie icing anyone can do it! There are no fancy ingredients and it takes no time at all to make plus you can make as many fun colors as your heart desires and create all kinds of fun designs.

These are the best and easy you would love to make for all your Holidays, special occasions, and any celebrations! They literally melt in your
mouth. They’re so soft, delicious, and so satisfying! The orange homemade icing is So SIMPLE to prepare and has the best combination to these cookies! It’s an unforgettable treat that would make everyone happy in your family! They’re perfect for eating plain or decorated with frosting and sprinkles!
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients for the cookies
1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature (2 sticks)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg (large)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp baking powder
3 cups all-purpose flour
Ingredients for the Orange Icing
1 ½ cups sugar powdered
1 Tbsp fresh orange zest
4 Tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
Decoration
Sprinkles
INSTRUCTIONS
Making the Cookies
1. Preheat your over to 350 F with a rack in the center,
2. In a medium bowl, sift 3 cups all-purpose flour and 1 Tbsp baking powder, ten mix them to combine and set them aside,
3. Use a handheld mixer or a stand-up mixer with a paddle attachment on, beat 1 cup unsalted butter together with 1 cup sugar until well combined,
4. Add 1 large egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract to the mixture and beat to combine,
5. Add the flour in 3 parts to the batter until fully incorporated,
6. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts,
7. Place the batter over parchment paper or a lightly floured surface, then roll the rough into ¼ inch thickness,
8. Use a cookies cutter and cut out your favorite shapes,
9. Transfer your cookies on your baking sheet lined with parchment paper,
10. Place your baking sheet in the center rack of your preheated oven, then bake for 10 min or unlit the edges are just beginning to turn golden (do not over bake your cookies),
11. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool for about 5 min on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely,
Making the Orange Icing
12. Place 1 ½ cups powdered sugar in a medium bowl add 1 Tbsp fresh orange zest and 4 Tbsp freshly squeeze orange juice,
13. Stir the ingredients together until well combined, you should get a thick mixture,
Decorate your Cookies
14. Place the orange icing on top of each cookie and decorate with your favorite sprinkles!
15. Serve your cookies with a great homemade Hot cocoa with some marshmallows! Bon Appetit! So Yummy!
