How To make Orange Biscotti
2 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1/4 cup unsalted butter
melted and cooled
1/2 cup cold water
5 tablespoons sugar
1 extra large egg yolk
2 tablespoons orange peel :
grated
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon light rum
3 drops orange extract
1 Pinch salt
Butter for baking sheets 1 extra-large egg, beaten to blend 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled Arrange flour in mound on work surface and make a well. Add 1/4 cup melted butter, water, 2 tablespoons sugar, yolk, orange peel, oil, rum, orange extract and salt into well. Gradually draw all but 1/4 cup flour from inner edge of well to center. Gather dough together and knead in remaining flour until smooth, about 1 minute. Wrap in floured towel. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 325~F. Lightly butter 2 baking sheets. Roll dough out on lightly floured surface to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Cut dough into 2 x 4 inch strips using scalloped pastry wheel. Place cookies on prepared sheets, spacing 1/2 inch apart. Pierce each cookie several times with tines of fork. Brush with egg glaze. Bake until light brown, about 25 minutes. Brush remaining 2 Tablespoons melted butter over hot cookies. Sprinkle with remaining 3 Tablespoons sugar. Return to oven for 5 minutes. Cool completely on rack. Store in airtight container. Yeild about 28 cookies.

How to make Chocolate Orange Biscotti - Easy Recipe for Christmas with School of Baking

Chocolate Orange Biscotti
Description
Delicious crunchy delights, perfect for edible gifting during the festive season!
Serves: Makes about 20 biscuits
Ingredients
80ml milk
80ml neutral oil
140g Tate & Lyle Soft Light Brown Sugar
Zest of one orange (or 1 ½ tsp orange extract)
275g plain flour
35g cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
100g white chocolate, melted (to decorate, optional)
Method
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
In a jug, combine the milk, oil, Tate & Lyle Soft Light Brown Sugar and orange zest. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa and baking powder. Pour in the wet mixture and mix together until almost combined. Tip out onto a work surface and knead to bring together. Divide in two and shape each half of the dough into logs about 8” long. Flatten each log slightly, then transfer to the prepared baking tray. Bake for 22-25 minutes until the outside is firm to touch.
After the first bake, remove the logs from the oven and allow to cool for 20 minutes. Cut each log into slices about ¾-1” thick and lay them back on the parchment, cut side down. Return to the oven and bake for a further 10-15 minutes until dried out. Leave to cool.
Once the biscotti are cool, melt the white chocolate and dip or drizzle over part of each biscotti. Zest over some additional orange zest and add some orange decoration if desired. Enjoy!

How to make my Fig and Orange Biscotti
Biscotti are just the best and the addition of sweet figs and orange go so well. These great Italian biscuits make perfect home made kitchen gifts or just make a massive batch and enjoy yourself dipped in coffee or a vino santo, delicious!
These are far easier to make than I always thought they would be and now are something I often make a batch of on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Ingredients

- 50g unsalted butter
- 240g plain flour
- 150g caster sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 75g flaked almonds
- 125g dried figs
- zest of 1/2 orange
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Un pasticcino è gradito in ogni momento della giornata, se poi sono dessert alle mandorle ancor di più!
Io li faccio spesso perché li amo molto, amo la consistenza della pasta di mandorle e quel sapore di mandorle che li rende unici! Li ho fatti in vari gusti, guarda qui ????
Oggi al gusto Arancia, visto il periodo!
Rifateli sono strepitosi e si conservano morbidi per più giorni, basta tenerli in una scatola di latta!
