OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CAKE | LOW FAT AND LOW CHOLESTEROL
Ingredients: 1 cup oatmeal, 1 and 1/2 boiling water, 3/4 cup packed granulated sugar, 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 4 egg whites, I reduce to 1TBS cocoa powder because it's a little bit bitter, 1 and 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla, add another 1/2 cup hot water, 1/2 cup hazelnut cream milk or regular milk, Chocolate chips (optional) ...Preheat oven 350 degrees. Pour boiling hot water over oatmeal. Set aside and prepare all your ingredients. Now combine sugar and oil. Beat egg whites for about 10 seconds. Add to sugar and oil mixture. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Add dry mixture to oil mixture. combine but do not overbeat. Add vanilla and stir. Add oatmeal mixture to batter and mix it until blend. Bake in 9x13 pan, spray non-stick cooking spray, bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, Frost with dessert icing or dust with powdered sugar. The sweetness comes from the natural sugars in the raisins and apple. So, it's just a little sweet. However, if you prefer a sweeter taste, you can always add a sweetener of your choice,
Ingredients:
230 g rolled oats(2 1/2 cups)
7 g baking powder(1/2 tablespoon)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 medium apples
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
40 g dried cranberries (optional) 1/4 cup
a pinch of salt
26 x 10 cm/ 10 x 4 inches baking form
bake 35-40 minutes at 180°C/360°F
