How To make Meatballs with Milk Gravy
8 oz Lean ground beef
1/4 Green bell pepper minced
1/4 Onion minced
1/4 c Dry bread crumbs
1/4 c Nonfat yogurt
1 ts Thyme
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 c Skim milk
1 ts Beef bouillon
2 tb Sherry
2 tb Flour
Mix together the beef, vegetables, breadcrumbs, yogurt, thyme and worcestershire sauce. Form into meatballs. Cook in a covered skillet over medium flame, turning carefully to brown. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside. Pour milk into skillet and bring to a boil. Add bouillon and cook until dissolved. Dissolve flour in sherry and add a bit at a time until gravy is thickened. Return meatballs to gravy and cook until heated through. Serve over noodles. Juicy flavour-packed meatballs in that classic rich and creamy Swedish meatball sauce.
It makes such a great comforting dinner served with mashed potato and of course some lingonberry jam (although I've got some other suggestions if you can't find it).

Swedish Meatballs Ingredients:
Meatballs:
500 g (1lb)beef mince - ideally 20% fat
250 g (1/2 lb)pork mince
1 onion - finely chopped
1 clove of garlic - minced
4 tbsp panko breadcrumbs
1 medium egg
5 tbsp (75ml) full-fat milk
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp white pepper
¼ tsp allspice
2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
Sauce:
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 tbsp plain - all-purpose flour
180 ml (3/4 cup) beef stock
120 ml (1/2 cup) vegetable stock
120 ml (1/2 cup) double (heavy) cream
2 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
¼ tsp salt
To Serve:
Finely chopped fresh parsley
Creamy mashed potato
Lingonberry jam - or redcurrant jelly
Green veg – such as broccoli or green beans

✅ Ingredients:
• ground beef – 18 oz | 500 g
• ground pork – 18 oz | 500 g
• boiled rice – 7 oz | 200 g
• 1 egg
• bulb onion – 4 oz | 120 g
• minced garlic – 2 cloves
• ground black pepper – ½ tsp
• ground coriander – ½ tsp
• salt – 1 tsp
• dried parsley – 1 tsp
Sauce:
• meat broth or water – 21 fl oz | 600 ml
• butter – 1½ oz | 40 g
• wheat flour – 3 tbsp
• sour cream – 1 cup | 250 g
• sweet paprika – 1 tbsp
• salt – to taste
• fresh parsley – 1 tbsp | 5 g
✔︎ You will need:
• pan
• deep bowl
???? Preparation:
1. Into a deep bowl add the ground meat, boiled rice, an egg, chopped up bulb onion, minced garlic, ground black pepper, ground coriander, dried parsley and 1 tsp of salt, combine until smooth.
2. Make medium meatballs.
3. In a pan melt the butter over low heat and add the wheat flour, stir well and add the hot broth gradually, stir until smooth and add the sour cream, sweet paprika and salt to taste and stir again.
4. As soon as the sauce boils lay out the meatballs into the pan, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
5. Flip the meatballs then, cover with the lid and simmer for another 10 minutes.
6. Sprinkle the creamy sauce meatballs with fresh parsley and serve hot to the table.
