How To make Mccalls Best Spice Cake
DEBBIE HOLLAND, HXRH11B 2 1/2 c Flour, sifted
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Cloves
1/8 ts Black pepper
1/2 c Margarine, softened
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 1/4 c Buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grese well and flour 2, eight inch pans or a 13x9 inch baking pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda,
cinnamon, cloves, pepper. In a large bowl use electric mixer at high speed to beat butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Occasionally scrate the sides of the bowl with a scrapper. At low speed, beat in flour mixture (in fourths) alternately with buttermilk (in thirds) beginning and ending with the flour. Beat until smooth about one minute. Pour batter into prepared pans; bake until surgace springs back when gently touched with fingertips. Layers 30-35 minutes and oblong 45 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Frost as desired. Ingredients:
Ginger snaps
1 box vanilla Instant pudding
1 1/2 cups of cold milk
1 can Pumpkin puree (not Pie filling)
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
1 tub of Extra creamy cool whip
In a gallon size plastic zip lock bag, put about 20 ginger snaps inside the bag and crush them up.
In large mixing bowl, add in vanilla pudding mix, add milk, and mix until there are no lumps. Add in pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice and mix together. Add in 1 cup of cool whip and fold in. Don't mix too much because you want to keep it fluffy.
In a small clear solo cup or cup of your choice, put in a couple tablespoons of crushed Ginger Snaps then add in pumpkin mousse. Leave room for whipped cream. Place in the fridge to chill for 4 hours. Once chilled add cool whip or ready whip topping. Sprinkle a little more crushed ginger snaps on top. Then take a full ginger snap cookie and pace it in the middle of the topping. That's it! Simple to make and everyone will love this easy dessert!

Happy Halloween folks! What better way to celebrate Halloween than with a pumpkin spice cake in the shape of a pumpkin!! Yes, today we are going to be showing you how to make and decorate an easy pumpkin cake in the shape of a pumpkin.
Elisha from Fiorella Bake Shop is going to take you through a simple step by step tutorial to make this super easy, super delicious and super festive cake.
Here’s what you will need.
For the Cake
▢3 cups all-purpose flour
▢1 tsp baking powder
▢1 tsp baking soda
▢2 tsp cinnamon
▢1/4 tsp ginger
▢1/4 tsp allspice
▢1 pinch ground cloves
▢1 pinch nutmeg
▢2 cups granulated sugar
▢1/4 cup brown sugar lightly packed
▢1/2 cup melted coconut oil
▢1/4 cup vegetable oil
▢1/3 cup plain yogurt
▢1 can pumpkin puree 15 oz
▢1/2 tsp salt
▢3 large eggs
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
▢8 oz cream cheese softened
▢2 cups powdered sugar
▢1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Buttercream
▢1 lb confectioners' sugar
▢1 cup salted butter room temp
▢1/4 cup milk add in slowly until you achieve desired consistency
▢1 tsp vanilla extract
▢10 drops McCall’s orange food coloring Amount of food coloring will depend on brand used and desired color.
