How To make Mccalls Best Spice Cake
DEBBIE HOLLAND, HXRH11B 2 1/2 c Flour, sifted
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Cloves
1/8 ts Black pepper
1/2 c Margarine, softened
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 1/4 c Buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grese well and flour 2, eight inch pans or a 13x9 inch baking pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda,
cinnamon, cloves, pepper. In a large bowl use electric mixer at high speed to beat butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Occasionally scrate the sides of the bowl with a scrapper. At low speed, beat in flour mixture (in fourths) alternately with buttermilk (in thirds) beginning and ending with the flour. Beat until smooth about one minute. Pour batter into prepared pans; bake until surgace springs back when gently touched with fingertips. Layers 30-35 minutes and oblong 45 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Frost as desired. NO BAKE FESTIVE FRUIT CAKE
4c mini marshmallows
8c graham cracker crumbs
2c seedless raisins
8oz pitted dates, finely chopped
1.5c diced mixed candied fruit
1.5c walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/2t cinnamon
1/2t nutmeg
1/4t cloves
6T orange juice
1c evaporated milk, undiluted
Line 2 - 9x5 loaf pans with waxed paper. Set aside.
In large bowl, combine all ingredients except orange juice and evaporated milk. Mix well, using hands if necessary. Add remaining ingredients and mix well until graham cracker crumbs are moistened.
Pack mixture evenly into loaf pans. Cover with foil and refrigerate at least 2 days before serving. Makes 2 - 2lb fruit cakes.

¾ cup light brown sugar packed
1 tablespoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¾ cup butter melted
Cake:
½ cup butter room temperature

• 2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup sour cream

Happy Halloween folks! What better way to celebrate Halloween than with a pumpkin spice cake in the shape of a pumpkin!! Yes, today we are going to be showing you how to make and decorate an easy pumpkin cake in the shape of a pumpkin.
Elisha from Fiorella Bake Shop is going to take you through a simple step by step tutorial to make this super easy, super delicious and super festive cake.
Here’s what you will need.
For the Cake
▢3 cups all-purpose flour
▢1 tsp baking powder
▢1 tsp baking soda
▢2 tsp cinnamon
▢1/4 tsp ginger
▢1/4 tsp allspice
▢1 pinch ground cloves
▢1 pinch nutmeg
▢2 cups granulated sugar
▢1/4 cup brown sugar lightly packed
▢1/2 cup melted coconut oil
▢1/4 cup vegetable oil
▢1/3 cup plain yogurt
▢1 can pumpkin puree 15 oz
▢1/2 tsp salt
▢3 large eggs
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
▢8 oz cream cheese softened
▢2 cups powdered sugar
▢1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Buttercream
▢1 lb confectioners' sugar
▢1 cup salted butter room temp
▢1/4 cup milk add in slowly until you achieve desired consistency
▢1 tsp vanilla extract
▢10 drops McCall’s orange food coloring Amount of food coloring will depend on brand used and desired color.
