How to Make Chocolate Mashed Potatoes | New Recipes | Well Done
White Chocolate Mashed Potatoes
Tanya's indulgent White Chocolate Mashed Potatoes are a fun take on an old classic! A sure crowd pleaser!
Try them for yourself!
Ingredients:
5 lbs potatoes
2 tsp butter
1 cup cream
7 oz white chocolate
salt
Method:
Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water for about 20 minutes or until tender.
While the potatoes are boiling, melt the white chocolate in a double broiler.
Whip with potatoes with butter and cream until smooth. Fold in the melted chocolate until well incorporated. Serve warm. Season with salt to taste.

Mashed potato and chocolate? In a cake?! It sounds a bit strange, but if you haven't had a delicious slice of chocolate potato cake before, you're missing out! This vintage recipe combines mashed potato into the cake batter, which makes for the most moist and delicate chocolate cake!
I'm a sucker for anything with potatoes in it, so naturally, I fell in love with this chocolate potato cake at first bite. What's not to like?

227g (1 cup) butter, soft
400g (2 cups) granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
6g (1.5 tsp.) vanilla extract
240g (2 cups) flour
210g (1 cup) mashed potatoes
50g (1/2 cup) cocoa powder
5g (1 tsp.) baking soda
236ml (1 cup) whole milk
Caramel Buttercream:
213g (1 cup) brown sugar
113g (1/2 cup) butter
59ml (1/4 cup) whole milk
250g - 300g (2 - 2.5 cup) icing sugar/powdered sugar
