How To make Mamma's Chicken Chicken
2 Chickens, cut up in serving
Pieces 1 c Lemon juice
2 c Seasoned bread crumbs
1 H
2 tb Grated cheese
1 Sliced onion
Olive oil
Dip chicken in lemon juice, and then roll in seasoned bread-crumb-and cheese mixture. In a baking dish, place onion in and around chicken. Sprinkle with olive oil and bake in preheated 350~ degree oven for 1 hour, uncovered. Serve immediately. VARIATION: POTATOES--You take 4 potatoes, peeled and cut in sixths lengthwise. Rub a little olive oil on each piece, dip in seasoned bread crumbs mixed w/cheese and place between chicken pieces. You can even cook the potatoes in a baking dish of their own at 350~ degrees for 1 hour. They are a perfect accompaniment to roast beef, veal, or pork. It's an Indonesian cuisine.
We love having this dish with a bowl of rice.
If you love something spicy and oily, you should try this recipe!
Homemade Chicken in Green Chili
Ingredients :
1 kg whole chicken, cut into 8
Coconut oil for fry the chicken and the paste
For chicken:
Blend into paste:
5 cloves of garlic
1 cup shallots
2 tbsp fresh turmeric
2 tbsp fresh ginger
1 tbsp fresh galangal
7 candle nuts
1 tbsp salt
1 lemongrass
1 bay leaf
3 lime leaves

For Green Chili:
Blend into paste:
15 green chilis
1 clove of garlic
1 cup shallots
50 gr onion, thin sliced
1 tbsp salt
6 lime leaves

2 bay leave
1/2 tsp peppercorns
2 tbsp better than bouillon
chicken bouillon cube( i used chicken and herbs bouillon)
2 carrots
water
1/2 tbsp chicken seasoning
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
Cornbread
3 buttermilk cornbread packages
2 eggs
2 cup milk
1/4 cup oil
Dressing
2 eggs, breaten
1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of onion
1/2 onion
3 tbsp butter
2 stalks celery
cornbread
chicken'
broth, i used 3 1/2 cups
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
Note: You really can use any condensed soup you like that fits the flavor profile. cream of chicken, cream of celery, cream of mushroom, cream of golden mushroom, etc.

Today I am making a oldie but goody recipe. Its my mama's chicken all king. I remember having this as a kid all the time especially during the colder months. Its a very warm and hearty dish. The best part is its super simple. Let me know if you guys try this delicious dinner out.

Chicken Alla King
2 pounds of chicken breast
1 small onion
3 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 carton of chicken broth
2 cans of chicken gravy
salt and pepper to taste
1. Heat the oil i a pot over medium heat.
2. Add diced onion and garlic to the heated oil. Salt and pepper generously. Let cook for 3-5 minutes or until onions are see through.
3. Then add diced chicken and let brown, like another 3-5 minutes per side.
4. Once the chicken has a brown on each side add the full container of chicken brother and let it come to a boil. Once it begins to boil reduce the heat to medium low and let it simmer for a few hours or until most of the liquid is gone.
5. add the gravy and let it come to a boil again to make sure the gravy is hot all the way through. i love to serve this over rice
