***Asiago Sauce*** 4 Cups heavy cream
(whipping cream) 1/8 Teaspoon chicken base 1 1/4 Cups asiago cheese 1 Tablespoon cornstarch 2 Ounces water ***For the Pasta*** 1/2 Stick butter 1/2 Cup red onions :
diced 1/2 Cup pancetta
chopped 1 Tablespoon garlic :
chopped 3/4 Cup green onion
tops only 3/4 Pound chicken :
grilled and sliced 2 Pounds farfalle
cooked 8 Ounces heavy cream :
(whipping cream) 1 Tablespoon chopped parsley To Make the Sauce: Heat cream to very hot and just bubbly (but not a boil). Add chicken base and cheese. Stir constantly with a wire whip and bring temperature back to just bubbly. Dissolve cornstarch in the cold water and add to sauce. Bring to a slow simmer to cook out starch. Transfer sauce to a container, cover and refrigerate until needed. To Make the Pasta Dish: Saute red onion in butter for a few seconds then add pancetta and garlic. Add chicken, green onions and pasta. Deglaze the pan with the cream. Add asiago cream sauce. Heat thoroughly. Garnish with parsley and serve. Makes four servings. Cook's Notes: The restaurant (Romano's Macaroni Grill) shared its recipe for pasta (farfalle) di pollo al sugo bianco with grilled chicken, pancetta and red onion in asiago sauce. Typically I make it with just chicken as my kids don't like the shrimp or prosciutto. Plus it's cheaper with just chicken, and my kids request this almost every day! I used to make a double batch of the sauce, then put aside half so we can have it again a few days layer with fresh chicken and pasta (but way less work!). But now my kids eat so much we make an entire double batch.
Start with a spicy creamy sauce, add the smoked meat and stir in the mini penne pasta! We like to serve it with my copycat macaroni grill rosemary bread!

COPYCAT PENNE RUSTICA RECIPE Sauce 3 Tbsp butter 2 Tbsp minced garlic 3 Tbsp cooking wine 2 C heavy whipping cream 1 C grated fresh parmesan 1/2 C whole milk 1/2 C chicken broth 1 Tbsp cornstarch 1 Tbsp dijon mustard 2 tsp minced fresh rosemary 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp minced fresh thyme 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp liquid smoke Melt butter in sauce pan, add garlic and sweat for 5 mins. Add wine and cook for another 5 mins. Add the next 10 ingredients and whisk until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook until thick - 8-10 mins.
Meat 2 chicken breasts 12 shrimp - peeled and deveined optional 1/4 lbs 1/4 inch thick prosciutto sliced optional I like to smoke the chicken and shrimp to match the penne rustica flavor - but you can cook them however you like heat the smoker to 225 skewer the shrimp - add salt and pepper and olive oil to both the chicken and shrimp and add to the smoker Smoke until the chicken is 165 and the shrimp is 120 degrees (I usually wait to add the shrimp until 30 mins into the chicken cooking so they end at the same time) slice the prosciutto and the chicken
Assembly 1 lbs penne pasta cooked al dente and drained I like the mini penne Sauce Meat Preheat the oven to 475 divide the pasta into oven safe dishes, top with extra parmesan and a sprinkling of paprika Bake in the oven for 10 mins

Ciao ragazzi, oggi prepariamo insieme la Pasta al Forno con Ragù Bianco! Una ricetta facile e gustosa, ideale per un ricco pranzo o cena della domenica. Questo primo piatto si prepara con pochi e semplici ingredienti; basta solo del tritato, un po’ di piselli, della besciamella e il vostro formato di pasta preferito e porterete in tavola una pasta al forno che accontenterà tutti, grandi e bambini! Questa è una variante più delicata e veloce della classica pasta al forno con ragù “rosso”, ma non per questo meno sfiziosa grazie anche al suo ripieno filante di provola e grana! Seguendo lo stesso procedimento spiegato nella ricetta, potete sostituire i piselli con altre verdure che vi ritrovate in frigo, come ad esempio le zucchine, gli spinaci o radicchio… largo spazio alla vostra fantasia! Provate questa pasta al forno bianca, sono sicuro che dopo averla assaggiata ne rimarrete conquistati!

Watch how to make 'Pasta In White Sauce', a cheesy white pasta which is very easy to cook and tastes delicious.
Pasta is undoubtedly a comfort food at its best. Chef Kanak brings you an easy, hassle-free and extremely delicious Italian pasta recipe that calls for a variety of flavourful ingredients that blend beautifully in red and white sauce and taste delicious.
Ingredients:
2 cups boiled pasta 1 tbsp olive oil 2 tsp chopped garlic 1 small onion - chopped 1 small carrot 1 capsicum 1/4 cup boiled corn salt to taste pepper to season 3 tbsp butter 3 tbsp all purpose flour / maida 1.5 cups milk 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes 1/4 tsp basil 1/4 tsp thyme (optional) 1/4 cup grated processed cheese or as desired
Method:
- In a pan, add olive oil and garlic and saute it for a while. - Add the onions and again saute for a while. - Add the vegetables - carrots, capsicum and corn and saute fora couple of minutes until they are slightly tender. - Add salt and pepper and mix all the ingredients well. Let them cook for about a minute and then turn off the flame.
To make the white sauce: - Melt butter in a pan. - Add the all purpose flour / maida and keep stirring on a low to high flame. - Before it changes its colour, add the warm milk to it. Keep whisking to avoid any lumps. Keep adding milk and keep whisking until the texture becomes thick, smooth and creamy without any lumps. - Add salt, pepper, mixed herb seasoning, red chilli flakes, basil and thyme.
To make pasta: - Add the cooked vegetables and boiled pasta to the prepared sauce and cook for another couple of minutes. - Add the grated cheese and give it a last stir. - The delicious cheesy pasta is ready to be served.

Ciao ragazzi, oggi prepariamo insieme La Pasta al Forno Filante della Domenica! Una ricetta facile e gustosa, ideale per un ricco pranzo insieme a tutta la famiglia. Anche se all'apparenza sembra un piatto complesso, in realtà si prepara in circa un'ora! Invece del classico ragù, questa pasta è condita con un sugo velocissimo a base di salsiccia e polpa di pomodoro che si prepara davvero in poco tempo. Basterà condire la pasta con il sugo, aggiungere qualche cucchiaiata di besciamella e dei cubetti di mozzarella ed infine mettere tutto in forno ... e servirete a tavola un primo piatto ricco e gustoso che farà la felicità di tutta la famiglia! Come pasta oggi ho scelto le classiche penne, ma tutti i formati di pasta corta andranno bene; rigatoni, fusilli, paccheri, insomma scegliete voi in base ai vostri gusti o secondo la pasta che vi ritrovate in casa!
