How To make Lemon Rice with Turkey
1 cup chopped green onions
(about 9 medium)
1 cup chicken broth
2 cloves garlic :
finely chopped
1 1/2 pounds turkey breast cut into 3 X 1/4 X
:
1/4-inch strips 3 cups cooked brown or white rice
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon capers -- rinsed and drained
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Brown rice has a hearty flavor that blends well with lemon. You may want to decrease the lemon juice to 1/4 cup if using white rice. Cook onions, broth and garlic in 12-inch skillet over medium heat 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are tender. Stir in turkey. Cook 3 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients except parsley. Cook about 3 minutes or until rice is hot and turkey is white; remove from heat . Stir in parsley. 6 servings

Easy Baked Lemon Pepper Turkey Recipe | How to Bake a Whole Turkey
Brine ingredients
1 cup salt
1/4 brown sugar
1 large onion chopped
5-10 garlic cloves
6 bay leaves
1 1/2 tsp thyme or fresh
1 1/2 tsp rosemary or fresh
1/2 cup lemon pepper
2 oranges chopped
2 lemons chopped
2 gallons of water
Inside stuffing for bird
2 celery stalks chopped
8 garlic cloves
1 orange chopped
1 lemon chopped
2 carrots chopped
Bring all ingredients for brine to a boil and let cool completely and pour over turkey brine overnight in fridge or 8-10 hoursif you don't have room in your fridge a cooler will work just add ice to keep turkey cool.
After brine dry the turkey season it up
Add the veggies inside the cavity of the turkey
Mix 2 sticks of butter with 2 tbs of lemon pepper seasoning and rub under the skin and all over the top of the turkey place covered turkey in oven 325 degrees 1 hour. Remove foil after one hour cook uncovered till the turkey is done internal temp is 165 cooking times vary depending on the size of turkey. If at anytime your turkey is getting too brown place the foil back over the turkey and continue to let cook. Be Blessed
