How To make Lamb Chops and Peaches with Lime Sauce
1 cn Peach halves (29 oz)
1 c Peach syrup
1/2 c Lime juice
1/2 t Grated lime peel
1 t Ground ginger
6 ea Lamb loin -OR-
1 x 12 rip chops, cut 1-inch thi
1 x Salt
1 x Pepper
Drain peaches, reserving syrup. In small saucepan, combine syrup with lime juice, peel and ginger. Heat thoroughly. Sprinkle lamb with salt and pepper. Broil 3 to 4 inches from source of heat 5 to 7 minutes per side, brushing frequently with lime sauce. Broil peach halves 5 minutes, basting with lime sauce. Gourmet Made Simple: 3 Easy, Summery Cocktails
On our brand new series, Gourmet Made Simple, we'll be showing you how to make things gourmet- but simple. And in our first episode, we're starting with 3 easy, summery cocktails from our resident mixologist, Gitty.
Basic Simple Syrup
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Water
1-2 Jalapenos (for Jalapeno Simple Syrup)
1. Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Stir until all sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and let simmer for 3 minute.
3. Can be stored in container and refrigerate for later use.
White Peach and Rose Sangria
This light, fruity sangria is made with rose, white peaches, blueberries and peach liquor. It all gets combined in a pitcher and served with more fresh berries, making it a drink that's perfect for brunch or an outdoor dinner.
1 Bottle Rose
1/2 Cup Peach Liquor
1 Cup Peach Juice
1/3 Cup Simple Syrup
3 White Peaches Sliced
1 Cup Sliced Berries ( Strawberries, Blueberries Etc.)
1. Place fruit in pitcher add liquor, peach juice, and simple syrup.
2. Stir to combine taste and adjust accordingly.
3. Add wine and refrigerate for a few hours and serve over ice.
Jalapeno, Lime and Bourbon Cocktails
Lime juice, jalapeno and a chile-lime spiced rim up the ante on this classic bourbon and soda cocktail. It's smooth, bold and spicy- a drink for the adventurous.
1 1/2 Parts Jalapeño Simple Syrup
1 Part Bourbon
1 1/2 Parts Fresh Lime Juice
1 Part Club Soda
Ice Cubes
Lime Slices
1 Jalapeño (sliced)
Chile Lime Spice
1. Follow instructions for simple syrup.
2. While still hot add 1-2 jalapeños sliced.
3. Steep for at least 20 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove jalapeños.
4. In a cocktail shaker combine the bourbon, syrup, lime juice and soda.
5. Dip the rim of the glass in simple syrup and then chile lime spice.
6. Pour cocktail over ice in glass. Garnish with lime and jalapeño slices
Frozen Watermelon Margarita
Everyone's favorite summer melon gets a makeover with tequila, lime and agave. This margarita is exactly what you need to cool down this summer- think adult slushies with an herbaceous twist, thanks to handfuls of fresh mint and basil.
4 Cups Frozen Cubed Watermelon
1-2 Limes Juiced
1/2 Cup Tequila
2 T Simple or Agave Syrup
1 Handful Fresh Basil
1 Handful Fresh Mint
1. Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until fully combined.
2. Serve right away.
3. Garnish with watermelon wedge and mint
