Okay, so this isn’t really Johnny Cash’s recipe, but it was his mama’s and it was reportedly his one of his favorite foods. If it was good enough for Johnny, it’s good enough for us, but it’s more than good enough – it’s a simple, sweetly southern pie that’s totally direct in its use of pineapple. That’s what this pie is all about. Well that, and a bit of sugar.

PINEAPPLE DREAM DESSERT | No Bake Pineapple Cream Dessert
I’ve always been obsessed with no bake desserts. And this pineapple dream dessert is pretty up there!! It’s so creamy, fluffy and delicious, everyone will love it!
Pineapple Dream Dessert
Ingredients
For the graham cracker crest
1 1/2 cups graham crackers crumbs (about 12 graham cracker sheets)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), melted
For the pineapple cream
8 oz bar cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
1-2 cups powdered sugar
20 oz can crushed pineapple, drained well
8 oz fresh whipped cream or cool whip
Directions
Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter. Spread mixture onto the bottom of a 9 x 9“ baking dish (or something similar in size) to form a crust. Refrigerate while working on the next layer.
Combine cream cheese and butter and mix in powdered sugar.
Fold in drained pineapple. Fold in whip cream or cool whip.
Spread mixture over graham cracker crust and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
Fresh whip cream
Beat 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and 1/4 cup powdered sugar with an electric mixer. Start at low speed then increase speed to high and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. Do not over mix!

Grated Pineapple Pie.
Line 2 deep pie plates with nice short pastry, prick the sides and bottom with a fork to prevent puffing, put in a hot steady oven and bake a very light brown.
Remove from the oven, spread with a layer of some nice jelly, pour in the following mixture and bake a nice brown:
Beat the yolks of 8 eggs and 4 tablespoonfuls sugar until light, add ½ cupful milk or sweet cream, then 1 can of grated pineapple, and lastly the stiffly-beaten whites of the eggs.
Mix well, and pour on the pie crusts.
This makes 2 deep pies. Use half quantity for 1 pie.

Palaman:
800 grms.sugar

Add 2 drops vanilla
Food color
Balat ng hawaiian:
1kl.1st class flour
1/4 kl. Sugar
15 grms. Salt
10 grms. Yeast
50 grms lard
450 grms. water
