Pumpkin Patch Pan-
Pumpkin Cake Recipe
(from my cookbook)-
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup vegetable oil
1½ cups dark brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs, at room temperature
¼ cup sour cream, at room
temperature
2½ cups canned pumpkin puree
1 tsp vanilla paste or pure
vanilla extract
2½ tsp baking powder
1½ tsp baking soda
1½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp sea salt
cinnamon spice frosting or caramel
White chocolate
Orange oil based food coloring
White chocolate or chocolate melts
Gold edible glitter
Preheat the oven to 350°F, then grease baking tray with vegetable oil spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, brown and granulated sugars, eggs, sour cream, pumpkin puree and vanilla until well combined, then set aside.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon and salt into the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.
Set your mixer to a low speed and slowly pour in the pumpkin mixture. Increase the mixer speed to medium and beat until smooth.
Using an ice cream scoop, fill the baking pan with batter. Bake for 15-18 minutes and allow cakes to cool slightly before inverting onto a wire rack to cool the rest of the way.
Pipe frosting into each pumpkin cake (if desired)
Melt the white chocolate according to package directions and color with the orange food coloring.
Pour a small amount of chocolate into each cavity of the baking mold, then press the cake back into the mold- allowing the chocolate the cover the sides completely.
Place into the fridge to set, then remove the pumpkin cakes from the mold once firm. Spray with gold glitter before serving.

Pumpkin Patch Cake Tutorial
This Pumpkin Patch Cake is a fun and easy Fall cake design. Here are the steps and products detailed:
You Will Need:
A 6-inch cake that’s been crumb coated and chilled
8-inch cake round (I’m using this acrylic one:
1.5 batches of Vanilla Buttercream:
Cake turntable:
Angled spatula:
Icing smoother:
Americolor Wedgewood (for the blue ombre and pumpkins):
Americolor Orange:
Americolor Chocolate Brown:
Piping bags
Wilton tip 4B (x3) (for the small drop pumpkins):
Wilton tip 6B (for the large drop pumpkins):
Wilton tip 10 (for the large piped pumpkins):
Wilton tip 5 (for the large stems):
Wilton tip 3 (for the small stems):
Toasted cake crumbs or cookie crumbs of your choice (Oreos would work great!)
Step 1: Start with a chilled, crumb coated cake (the cake here is a triple layer 6-inch cake) and frost an ombre sky with blue buttercream.
Step 2: Create a landscape using toasted cake crumbs, Oreo cookie crumbs, or any crumb of your choice. Simply press them onto the frosting around the bottom edge of the cake and sprinkle them on the top as well.
Step 3: Pipe the large pumpkins using a series of curved lines with Wilton tip 10 wherever you'd like.
Step 4: Pipe the drop pumpkins with Wilton Tips 4B for the smaller pumpkins and 6B for the larger pumpkins to fill in the empty spaces around the bottom edge and on the top half of the cake. The color scheme for these is Americolor Orange, Wedgewood, and plain white buttercream.
Step 5: Pipe all the stems. I used Wilton tip 5 for the giant piped pumpkin stems and Wilton tip 3 for the rest of the pumpkin stems.
