How To make Grilled Tofu Sandwiches
2 1-in slabs marinated tofu
4 sl White or whole wheat bread
Mayonnaise Horseradish to taste 1 lg Tomato, sliced
Salt and pepper Lettuce Thinly sliced red onions - (optional) Be sure to use the firm, Chinese-style tofu rather than the soft or regular tofu. It tastes best after it has been marinated for several days. PREPARE A FIRE if you are grilling the tofu, and grill it on both sides, about 6 inches above the coals, until it is well-browned and a little crispy. Otherwise, broil the tofu on both sides. Spread the bread with mayonnaise and horseradish to taste. Slice the tofu in half, crosswise, to make pieces 1/2-inch thick, and cut the pieces to fit the bread. Arrange the tomato
slices on the tofu, and salt and pepper them; add the onion if you wish. Cover with the lettuce and the top piece of bread.

Grill sandwich is easy and delicious sandwich, made with tofu and cheese.
Ingredients:
Breads 4 no’s
Bell pepper 1 no
green chilli 3 no’s
Pepper powder ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Tofu 150 g
Mozzarella cheese
Butter 2 tbsp
Method :
Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onions, bell pepper, green chilli, pepper powder, salt, mix it and cook it for 2 minutes then add tofu (cut into lengthwise) toss it well, switch off the flame and add mozzarella cheese, mix it nicely.
Take bread slices and apply the mixture, put one piece of bread on top of the other.
Apply the butter on both sides then grille it till it gets golden color.
Serve with any sauce.

Grilled Sandwich is always loved by everyone. So here is an interesting, protein rich aur thode desi flavours se bharpur Tofu Bhurji Grilled Sandwich. Make it for your breakfast, lunch or snack time and have a healthy day!
TOFU BHURJI GRILLED SANDWICH
Ingredients
300 grams firm tofu, grated
8 brown bread slices
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 small green capsicum, finely chopped
Salt to taste
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 green chilli, finely chopped
A pinch of turmeric powder
1 small tomato, deseeded and chopped
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
Butter for applying
Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and let them change colour.
2. Add onion and mix well. Cook till golden brown. Add green capsicum and sauté for a minute.
3. Add salt, red chilli powder, green chilli, turmeric powder and mix well. Cook for a minute.
4. Add tomato and sauté for a minute. Add the grated tofu and mix till well combined. Cook for a few seconds.
5. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Switch the heat off.
6. Apply some butter on one side of each bread slice, apply some green chutney over it, add a generous portion of the tofu bhurji over 4 bread slices and cover it with the remaining bread slice with the green chutney facing down.
7. Heat a non-stick electric griller, brush with some butter and place the sandwich over it. Grill for 4-5 minutes or till done.
8. Diagonally cut the sandwich in half and serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Literally what was I thinking not eating tofu for soooo many years ???? This sandwich is such a go-to for me these days, and prepping the tofu in advance makes for a super quick & easy brekky!
Ingredients:
1 x 450g block of firm tofu
2 tbsp olive oil3 tbsp bbq sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional) (you can get this from some major supermarkets in Australia)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
Pinch of salt
~ I like to serve this tofu on a fresh sandwich with lettuce, tomato, avocado & a creamy sauce/vegan mayo!
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C fan-forced, line a large baking tray (or 2 small ones) with baking paper or a reusable baking sheet
2. Finely slice tofu into 2-3cm thin rectangles
3. Combine olive oil, bbq sauce, soy sauce, liquid smoke, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and salt in a bowl
4. Dip and coat the tofu in the sauce mixture, then place on the baking tray. Repeat until you’ve used all of the tofu
5. Place these in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, before removing and leaving to cool on the baking tray
6. Serve fresh or place into a container and leave in the fridge. Consume within 5 days
