How To make Grandma's Apple Pie
2 1/4 c All-purpose flour
3/4 c Crisco shortening
3/4 ts Salt
1/3 c Ice water
Fine Granny Smith Apples, -peeled & cut 1/4 c Sugar
1 tb Flour
1 ts Cinnamon
Butter & Milk You can do the crust in a food processor if you don.t like stirring. Split in half, and line 9" pie plate with one half. Cut apples in thin slices. Combine sugar, cinnamon, flour, and pour over apples. Place apple mixture in bottom crust of 9" pie plate. Dot with butter. Put on top crust, making vents to allow steam to escape. Brush top crust with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 450 for 15 minutes, then turn down to 375 for 25-30 minutes. * The Polka Dot Palace BBS 1-201-822-3627. Posted by UMMM...

There's always a great reason to make desserts. Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthday's. They are all great reasons to make a pie!
An apple pie is a pie in which the principal filling ingredient is apple, originated in England. It is often served with whipped cream, ice cream (apple pie à la mode), or cheddar cheese. It is generally double-crusted, with pastry both above and below the filling; the upper crust may be solid or latticed (woven of crosswise strips). The bottom crust may be baked separately (blind) to prevent it from getting soggy. Deep-dish apple pie often has a top crust only and tarte Tatin is baked with the crust on top, but served with it on the bottom.
Apple pie is an unofficial symbol of the United States and one of its signature comfort foods.
In today's episode, I will show you my Grandma's Easy Apple Pie Recipe. It's sweet and delicious.
Ingredients
1 store bought pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
½ cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
¼ cup water
½ cup white sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

GRANDMA’S APPLE PIE

1 ½ oz. (45ml) Bourbon
½ oz. (15ml) Licor 43
¼ oz. (7ml) Créme de Cacao
1 oz. (30ml) Apple Juice
Grated Cinnamon
Garnish: Apple Slice, Cinnamon Stick
PREPARATION
1. Combine bourbon, licor 43, créme de cacao, and apple juice in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to chill.
2. Strain mix into serving glass over ice and grate a cinnamon stick over.
3. Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick.

Grandma’s Homemade Apple Pie
Grandma’s Homemade Apple Pie is always the best apple pie you could ever have. It’s made with a flaky crust. The apple filling is flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, sugar, and butter. It’s baked until the apples soften and the crust turns golden brown. Of course, it’s always nice to have a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top while it’s still warm. The combination of sweet and tart flavors and the aroma of cinnamon makes apple pie a beloved dessert in many cultures. I’m 100% sure making this apple pie for this coming holiday season.

Grandma’s Brown Bag Apple Pie
Grandma’s Brown Bag Apple Pie:
Ingredients:
Pie filling:
About 5-6 cooking apples. (We used granny smith)
½ cup sugar
2T flour
½ t nutmeg
Uncooked pie shell
Pie topping:
1 stick butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup flour
Directions:
Slice 4-5 cooking apples. We used granny smith. Recipe didn’t specifie. In a bag, mix ½ cup sugar, 2T flour, ½ t nutmeg. Pile high into 1 uncooked pie shell. In a bowl, mix 1 stick butter, ½ cup sugar, ½ cup flour. Mix with pastry cutter. Sprinkle over pie. Put inside a large brown paper bag. Staple. Set on cookie sheet. Bake at 425 for one hour.
