Fudge is so tasty!
If you also want to make this, I used the recipe below:
Fudge:
Ingredients:
1 can condensed milk (385g)
400g castor sugar
25 ml golden syrup
75 ml water
60g butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
pinch of salt
Directions:'
In a large pot over low heat add in the water and sugar and keep stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Add in the butter and syrup.
Mix until the butter melts.
Add in the condensed milk and mix (for a very long time) until the temperature is between 112-118 degrees celsius on a candy thermometer. If you don't have a candy thermometer, drop a litte of the mixture into a glass of cold water and a soft ball of syrup should form, this is called the soft ball stage. If a ball has not formed, cook for a while longer and test again.
Remove from the heat and place into a sink filled about half way with cold water and mix until the mixture a thick. crystallization should occur.
Spoon mixture into a lined baking tin, cut indentations into the frudge.
Allow to cool completely, cut into squares.
Énjoy some Traditional South African Fudge !
