The Ultimate Fish Soup Recipe.
Here's a classic Caribbean fish soup or fish broff as it's called in Trinidad and Tobago. Not as heavy and thick as traditional Caribbean soups, but loaded with vegetables and flavored with herbs and thick slices of marinated fish.The ideal way to finish off this soup is to adda tablespoon of golden ray butter to the pot 2 minutes before you take off the stove. You may notice that the recipe is very similar to Jamaican fish tea as well.
You'll need....
2- 3 lbs ocean fish (cubed and washed with lime juice)
8-10 cups of water
3 cups fish stock (or chicken/vegetable)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Caribbean green seasoning
1 onion
4 cloves garlic
2 potatoes
1 sweet potato
4 green cooking bananas (green fig)
2 cups chopped spinach (optional)
2 scallions
4 sprigs thyme
2 tablespoon shopped shado beni (culantro .. cilantro can also be used)
1 scotch bonnet pepper
1 cup diced pumpkin
1 carrot
1 tablespoon veg oil

Hello guys, this fish stew is what you should be making next. Soooo yummy and packed with so much flavor, you will loveeee it!
Ingredients:
- 1 Tilapia fish
- 2 medium tomatoes
-1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 medium onions
- 4 green chillies(optional)
- 2 garlic cloves
- ginger
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2tsp cumin powder
- 1/4tsp turmeric powder
- 1tsp salt
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup water

Friends, I want to show you the recipe for one of my favorite soups! I like that it is really easy to prepare, fast (30-40 minutes maximum), no need to cook the broth separately, excellent taste! It is boneless fish fillets (cod) that are used here, this increases and speeds up the process. You can add more salmon, shrimp, or any seafood of your choice.
Recipe: 6-7 servings
1 medium or large onion
1 medium carrot
1 celery stalk
1 small bell pepper or ½ large
2-3 garlic cloves
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1tbsp. butter
1 large tomato
4-5 medium potatoes
1.5-2 liters of hot water
salt, black pepper to taste
1 bay leaf
~ 500 g cod fillet
small bunch of dill
½ cup cream 20-22% fat (optional), warm a little so that they are not cold
In a medium-sized saucepan (I have 3 liters), heat the vegetable and butter, add the onion, and sauté for 2-3 minutes, occasionally stirring to make it softer. Then add carrots, celery, bell peppers, garlic, a pinch of salt, and black pepper, and let fry for a few more minutes, stirring occasionally. Add chopped tomato, and stir. After a minute or two, put chopped potatoes, pour one and a half to two liters of boiling water, salt, and pepper, put a bay leaf, and bring to a boil. Boil vegetables without a lid over low heat until the potatoes are half cooked, about 3-5 minutes, then put the pieces of fish and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Optionally, in the end, pour in half a glass of cream and add a handful of dill, let it boil for 1 minute (it should not boil too much!), Then turn off the heat.
Let it brew for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with herbs before serving. Serve with crackers, toast, some delicious dark bread!
Soup can be stored in the refrigerator for 4-5 days without any problems)

Ingredients:
-Chirchiri machli or Small fish 300 gms
-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) 1 tsp
-Olive oil 2 tbs
-Pyaz (Onion) 1 large
-Adrak (Ginger) chopped 1 tbs
-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 1 tbs
-Tomato paste 2 tbs
-Gajar (Carrot) 1 medium
-Bund gobhi (Cabbage) 1 Cup
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed 1 & ½ tsp or to taste
-Pani (Water) 5-6 Cups or as required
-Hara pyaz (Green onion) ¼ Cup
Directions:
-Clean and remove center bone.
-In small fish,add salt and turmeric powder,mix well and set aside for 30 minutes then wash with tap water.
-In pot,add olive oil,onion and fry until translucent.
-Add ginger,garlic and mix well.
-Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
-Add carrots,cabbage,salt and black pepper crushed and mix well.
-Add washed fish and mix well.
-Add water,mix well and bring it to boil,cover & cook on low flame for approx.1 hour.
-Add green onion,mix well & serve.

-Pot mein olive oil aur pyaz dal dein aur translucent hunay tak fry ker lein.
-Adrak aur lehsan dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Tomato paste dal dein aur 2 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Gajar,bund gobhi,namak,kali mirch crushed dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Washed machli dal dein aur ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Pani shamil ker ka mix karein aur ubal anay ka bad dhak dein & halki ancch per approx. 1 hour kliya paka lein.
-Hara pyaz dal ker ache tarhan mix karein & serve karein.
