How To make Easy Chicken& Dumplings
4 Chicken breasts OR>>
Chicken pcs. of your choice. Few drops yellow food color 1 Stick oleo
1 cn Chicken broth
Salt & pepper to taste 20 sm Flour tortillas
Put chicken in large pot filled about 3/4 full of water. Cook until tender. Remove chicken and debone, or if you prefer, may leave chicken without deboning. Add remaining ingrredients, except tortillas, back in boiling broth water. Take shears and cut FLOUR tortillas in strips and drop in boiling broth (do not use corn tortillas). Cook about 20 minutes or so until done. These dumplings look and taste as good as regular dumplings. This makes a large quantity, so can be halved if you desire. INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 to 2 lbs precooked shredded chicken
8 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 medium carrot finely chopped
1/2 small onion finely chopped
1 celery stalk finely chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 dried bay leaf
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup all purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste
DUMPLINGS
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
12 oz can evaporated milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- In an 8 quart pot add butter, onion, celery, carrot, a pinch of salt and pepper and on a medium heat sauté until softened and translucent
- Now add minced garlic and continue to sauté
- Add bay leaf and sprinkle in flour, cook until light crust forms at the bottom of the pot. It should take a minute or so using a medium heat setting
- Next add and stir in chicken broth
- Then add cooked shredded chicken and simmer for ten minutes
PREPARE DUMPLINGS
- In a large bowl add flour, baking powder, salt and combine well
- Now add evaporated milk and mix
- With a spoon scoop in dumplings to boiling broth, cover with a lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until dumplings are cooked, fluffy and floating to the surface

1 cup Celery
1 cup Carrots
Rotisserie Chicken Shredded
1 can Cream of Chicken
1 can Creamof Celery
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
Chicken broth 32oz
1 can Grands Southern Style Biscuits
1 tsp poutry season
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 stick unsalted of butter
Cook it on high stirring for about 3 mins and then reduce heat to low and cover for about 15 to 20 mins

This delicious CHICKEN and DUMPLINGS is the ultimate comfort food, it’s savory chicken in a delicious broth very much between a soup and a stew. It is topped with light and fluffy dumplings that will help thicken the broth into a rich gravy. There are many ways of making CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS, and there are many shortcuts , but making it homemade from scratch will make it your own masterpiece and it will be full of flavor. INGREDIENTS ___________________
1 1/2 lbs. cooked Chicken
1/2 medium/ large chopped onion
2 C. cubed carrots
2 celery ribs (slices)
2 large garlic cloves (minced)
4 Tbsp butter (for roux)
7 Tbsp All purpose flour
6 C. Chicken broth (low sodium)
1 1/2 C. Frozen peas
2 Bay Leaves
1/2 tsp dries thyme leaves
1/2 tsp crushed Rosemary
Pepper as needed
Salt as needed
1 1/2 Tbsp BETTER THAN BOUILLON Chicken base
3 Tbsp butter (to saute vegetables)
DUMPLING DOUGH____________
1 C. All purpose flour
1/2 tsp rubbed Sage
1/2 tsp salt
1 3/4 tsp Baking powder
Pepper as needed (optional )
1/2 C. Plus 1 Tbsp whole milk
I BOILED MY CHICKEN WITH 1 CELERY RIB, 1/4 SMALL ONION, 1/4 tsp SALT AND COVERED CHICKEN WITH WATER (maintain covered) . I USED 6 CUPS BROTH. I BOILED IT FOR 50 MINUTES (make sure you check chicken and make sure your your chicken is cooked very well).
