How To make Cumulonimbus Chocolate Cake
2/3 c Sauerkraut
2 c All-purpose flour
1/2 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
2/3 c Unsalted butter; softened
1 1/2 c Granulated sugar
1 ts Vanilla extract
3 Eggs
1 c Brewed coffee; strong,
-cooled Chocolate-sour cream -frosting: 1 lb Milk chocolate; chopped
8 oz Sour cream
Recipe by: Midwest Living, February 1996 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees; grease and flour two 8-inch round baking pans. In a sieve, rinse and drain the
sauerkraut. Snip finely; set aside. In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until well combined. Add the eggs, beating after each addition. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the coffee, beating until just combined. By hand, stir in the sauerkraut. Turn into the prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until done. Cool in te pans for 10 minutes. Remove and cool completely. Frosting: In a heavy saucepan, over very low heat, melt the chopped chocolate. Cool for 10 minutes. Stir in the sour cream; the mixture may stiffen at first, but will become smooth as you stir in all of the sour cream. Make Clouds in the Cold! DIY clouds! How to do that Cloud Thing!
Let's make clouds! It's cold out and this experiment will work! We're having a cold snap and it's currently -29C here in Manitoba. Time to dress up warm and boil some water.
I used hot water that I boiled in the kettle and kept hot using thermal mugs. It's so cold outside that the water was still cooling off pretty quickly.
Throw the water away from yourself and your things because it will freeze in little dropletts and hit you like hail. I have not perfected the temps for optimum cloud making but it sure is fun trying!
Have fun with the kids with this DIY cloud, it's fun to watch from inside the window too. It's a great opportunity to explain the science behind the magic as well. I love doing experiments like this!

雲スイーツの作り方☁雲ケーキ&雲ドリンク★How to make cloud sweets Cloud cake & cloud drink
★雲ケーキ★ パンナコッタ(Cloud cake)
ビスケット 数枚(Biscuit)
牛乳 100ml(Milk)
生クリーム 100ml (Fresh cream)
粉ゼラチン 1袋 5g (Powdered gelatin)
砂糖 30g(sugar)
バニラエッセンス 数滴(A few drops of vanilla essence)
ラム酒 数滴(A few drops of rum)
1.耐熱容器に牛乳、砂糖を入れよく混ぜレンジ500wで1分ほど加熱する。
2.よく混ぜ、さらに30秒ほどレンジで加熱する。
3.ゼラチンを入れよく混ぜる。
4.生クリーム、バニラエッセンス、ラムエッセンスを加え混ぜる。
5.粗熱が取れたら丸型の製氷皿に流し入れ、冷蔵庫で30分から1時間冷やし固める。
⭐️冷やしている間に、雲ケーキの中に入れるムースを作ります。
今回はいちご味とチョコレート味です。
⭐️いちごムース(Strawberry mousse)
牛乳 100g(Milk)
マシュマロ 50g(marshmallow)
いちごジャム 25g(Strawberry jam)
食紅 少し (A little red)
⭐️チョコムース(Chocolate mousse)
牛乳 100g(Milk)
マシュマロ 50g(marshmallow)
チョコレート 25g(Chocolate)
1.マシュマロと牛乳を耐熱容器に入れ、1分半レンジで加熱。
2.良く混ぜ、マシュマロが溶け切っていなかったら再びレンジで30秒加熱。
※吹きこぼれないように注意!
3.マシュマロが溶け切ったら、いちごジャム、食紅(チョコレートも同様)を入れ混ぜる。
4.容器に入れ冷蔵庫で30分冷やす。(底が丸い容器がおすすめ)
⭐️盛り付け
•ビスケットを下に敷き、その上にムースを乗せる。
•ムースに貼り付けるように、半円のパンナコッタを置いていく。
•雲のような形になるように整えたら完成。
⭐️雲ドリンク⭐️(Cloud drink)
牛乳 120ml (Milk)
砂糖 10g (sugar)
粉ゼラチン 5g(Powdered gelatin)
プレーンヨーグルト 100g
(plain yogurt)
サイダー 適量(plain yogurt)
氷 適量(ice)
ブルーハワイシロップ 適量(Blue Hawaii syrup)
綿あめ 適量(cotton candy)
1.耐熱容器に牛乳、ヨーグルト、砂糖を入れ混ぜる。
レンジで1分半加熱する。
2.ゼラチンを入れ混ぜる。
3.タッパーに入れ冷蔵庫で冷やす。
4.グラスに氷を入れ、クラッシュしたゼリーを側面に入れる。
5.サイダーを注ぎ、ブルーハワイシロップを入れる。
6.綿あめを飾り付けて完成。

★Cloud cake★
1. Put milk and sugar in a heat-resistant container, mix well, and heat in a microwave oven for 500 minutes.
2. Mix well and heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
3. Add gelatin and mix well.
4. Add fresh cream, vanilla essence and rum essence and mix.
5. When the rough heat is removed, pour into a round ice tray and cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour to solidify.
⭐️ Make a mousse to put in the cloud cake while chilling.
This time it's strawberry flavor and chocolate flavor.
1. Put marshmallow and milk in a heat-resistant container and heat in a microwave oven for 1 and a half minutes.
2. Mix well and if the marshmallow is not completely melted, heat it again in the microwave for 30 seconds.
*Be careful not to spill!
3. When the marshmallows have completely melted, add strawberry jam and food red (also chocolate) and mix.
4. Put in a container and cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. (A container with a round bottom is recommended)
⭐️ serving
• Lay the biscuit down and place the mousse on it.
• Place a semi-circular panna cotta on the mousse.
• Completed when it is shaped like a cloud
★Cloud drink★
1. Mix milk, yogurt and sugar in a heat resistant container.
Heat in the microwave for 1 and a half minutes.
2. Add gelatin and mix.
3. Put in the tapper and cool in the refrigerator.
4. Put ice in a glass and put the crashed jelly on the side.
5. Pour the cider and the blue Hawaii syrup.
6. Finish by decorating cotton candy.
